@Bold, so true! Zee was one which was taking some risks but now with it's Suhash Chandra in great financial trouble, they too are unlikely to take big risks. With Sane at the helm in Colors, they too started to take risks but I don't think their products have done any too well so overall it is likely that risk takers in Marathi industry will slowly back off. And with the covid19 issue, it remains to be seen how the industry will progress. Situation is so fluid.

Yess after sairat ppl did try to take risk but sagal panyat.. at the end it's a business.. older actors do bring few audience to theatre still the business is not that great now..so just imagine who will take risk with newcomers who doesn't have face value to bring audience to theatre..char paise Milan pan mushkil ani picture jari changla asla Tari it will not reach to ppl

Nobody is asking them to retire. But expect them to play more in line with their age. Say a family man with a small kid/s or similar roles and not a young romantic or a patented angry young man.

And more importantly, Swapnil's attempts at imitating Sharukh mannerisms gets on my nerves.😈

But they are playing age appropriate roles 😎.

For instance, in TSKK Ankush Chaudhary played the role of a father to a 7-8 year old kid👍🏼, Swpanil Joshi sir in Samantar played the role of a father of a 10 year old kid while in Mogra Phulla he played the role of a grown unmarried man ⭐️.

It is true Swapnil Joshi sir used to imitate Shah Rukh Khan but he stopped copying Shah Rukh Khan quite some time back. In an interview with ABP Majha a couple of years back when a reporter asked him to imitate Shah Rukh Khan's mannerisms 😛, he flatly refused saying he does not do that any more and that is true👍🏼.

It is just that very few younger actors have it in them to get the crowd to theaters🤢. That is not the fault of other actors 👍🏼.

Tyacha सांगण्याचा मूळ मुद्दा हा होता की पुणे is big market for Marathi cinema..हिरकणी सारखा सिनेमाला पाहिल्या वीक मधे रिकामी थिएटर्स पहावी लागली whereas film like housefull had housefull theatre.. we wait for word of mouth, reviews from a,b,c ppl n then go to watch movie in 2nd 3rd week...n by that time even though movie is good enough it may or may not be in theatres.. ani it's not about every movie making 100 crs..it's about at least getting back whatever they have invested or more than that...I think you should watch that live session then..you will get the perspective of what he was saying

मला वाटते चित्रपटांना ओपनिंग मिळते स्टार्स मुळे 🤡, चित्रपट चांगला आहे म्हणून नाही . मराठीत स्टार्स आहेत अंकुश चौधरी आणि स्वप्नील जोशी . आणि आपण त्यांनाच म्हणतो कि ते आता वयस्कर झाले आहेत . अक्षय कुमार ५० वर्षांपेक्षा अधिक आहे 😎 . त्याचा स्वतःचा मोठा fanbase आहे😲, त्यामानाने अंकुश चौधरी आणि स्वप्नील जोशींचा fanbase कमी आहे, पण तो आहे 👍🏼 आणि त्यामुळे त्यांच्या चित्रपटांचे पैसे नेहेमी रिकव्हर होतात त्यामुळे त्यांना चित्रपट मिळत राहतात .

स्टार सिस्टिम हि एक दुधारी तलवार आहे, ती चांगली पण आहे आणि वाईट पण 😵.

Well the situation isn't particularly grim for the Marathi Industry, there have and are people to the likes of Ajay Devgan, Ritesh Deshmukh ,PC more recently Rohit Shetty who have and are investing in good scripts.. There's Vikram Phadnis, who directed two very beautiful movies..

The Hindi audience have definitely become wiser, they r ready to pay for a GOOD movie irrespective of the hero, so we have a Ayushman Khurana , Rajkumar Rao , Vicky Kaushal movies doing so well as against a certain Khan or Kapoor who have slowly retracted into a shell..

It's high time the Marathi audience looks past the hero material types and invest their time and money in good movies..Marathi katha and songs khup Sundar ani meaningful astat..
