Sana’s new TikTok and I am so glad she is posting and interacting and engaging with fans her own way ❤️

That said, I think I see what’s going wrong at times. I wish she didn’t laugh after she cracks her joke. She should sustain the mood of her statement and stay in that expression- pitiful 🥺, confused 🥴, inquisitive🤔 , meh 😒, aghast 😱... jo bhi hai. When she laughs after cracking her own joke, the audience gets immediately cut off from the mood. The audience laughter part is fine and essential coz that’s our response. But the artist had better not imho. I was smiling thinking of Saturday/ Sunday on this new clip in a sustained manner (coz it’s the truth of the new normal- weekends and weekdays are a blur now) and then when she laughed, I immediately got cut off from my process. Does anyone else here get what I am trying to say? I would definitely like to atleast try both versions with her laughing at the end of her jokes and her not laughing to see which engages the audience better.

Think of other stand up artists. They are more effective when they don’t laugh at their own jokes. Or else it has to be a caricature. Their stoicism or confusion while uttering statements that they supposedly believe which we know are not is what completes the humour often. Sana was often funny “naturally” on BB because she was just being herself and by that I mean, not laughing at her own jokes within this context.

Just my two cents. Food for thought?
