I didnt quite like it. But maybe, I am the odd one out
Finally watched Special Ops and Asur (Thanks Swetha). TBH both didn't live up to the hype they were good but not the best.
Special Ops: had a slow start, and the last episodes were gripping. Felt like they stretched a lot, action sequence been a disappointment. The story wasn't that unique, but they handled it reasonably well. Kay Kay Menon was fantastic. Sajjad Delafrooz, I am watching him for the first time considering he is a newbie he impresses (Is it just me he looked like Mohit Raina in some angle). Karan Tacker was good too; pivotal role looked dashing throughout the series (Now that's a comeback). Plus points for high production value, cinematography and not ending with a cliffhanger.
Asur: It started well but went downhill towards the end. It had a good premise and story with the potential to become best but faltered in the narrative also predictable; I figured out the villain (The one who got revealed at the end) by the third episode. There were glaring loopholes, and lacked logical reasonings for many events for a show try to be realistic fiction - are they going to solve or give an explanation for everything for next season? Because there are too many. I felt like its "Hannibal" and "Sherlock" meets "Sacred games". The cinematography was good, the things they did well are - mythological backdrop and developing the antagonist character. The cast was good but for me, Vishesh's performance, even with the less screen time left a high impact, That boy going places. (Sharib Hashmi is getting stereotyped playing the sidekick [for protagonists in thrillers], he is more worth than that).
TFS for the review Radz.
I havent seen them yet, but will be at it soon.
Tbh, most of the web series I have seen have left me unimpressed, except Guilty and Delhi Crime.
