When I was younger my mum used to tell me the story of a RK Mission wale Sadhu Maharaj.

This sadhuji was asked to construct a ghat inside the math premises on Gangaji's bank. He was an engineer before becoming a sadhu so he set about it himself.

When the ghat was 90% completed, one fine morning he was transferred to another math on the other side of the country.

There, a person asked him "Maharaj, you're a sadhu, out of practice for so long, how did you make such an A-grade ghat, better than even the best architects?"

He replied, "It was God's work. I wasn't doing it for me OR the math, I was doing it for God himself, and how could I let God have anything other than what was the culmination of the best of my abilities?"

Then the person again asked, "But don't you feel even a little resentful?! You practically completed that job alone, and they didn't invite you to the riboon-cutting also?"

The Sadhu then said, "No I am not resentful. I have given my whole life to God's purpose. It doesn't matter if I am there or here. It doesn't matter if I'm constructing a ghat or signing off papers, it is all a continuous effort on my part in fulfilling God's intent! It is not at all two different ventures!"

I was personally very moved by this story. 😳

The Karma-yoga is so blatant and obvious here! ❤️

People any idea where Madra is?

I read on YouTube that it is the current day Madras. I doubt it though. Madras is a British nomenclature, the place was known as Chennai by the locals

At least Star Plus waited till the show ended on DD but this shameless channel directly challenging DD. Lockdown se pehle nahi yaad aaya ye dono channel ko puraane shows ke baare me😡.

Madra is the name of an ancient region and its inhabitants, located in the north-west division of the ancient Indian sub-continent. The Madra Kingdom's capital is believed to have been ancient Sialkot, in modern-day Pakistan. The kingdom's boundaries are believed to have extended from portions of the Hindu Kush to the present-day Punjab and Haryana province of India. Some support this belief because it was stated within the ancient epic Mahabharata that describes the armies of the Madra kingdom led by King Shalya , marching from ancient Northwest Punjab to Kurushetra to help Kauravas. Here is the ancient map for understanding the clear picture of the war and the participants.

Virata Kingdom Matsya desh is in modern Bairat in the Jaipur district of Rajasthan. Akhnoor, a town in the state of J&K is also considered by some as the Virat Nagar. Upapalya was another city in this kingdom where the Pandavas and their allies camped before the beginning of the reat Kurukshetra War..

I am not good at Hindi, so, you please read it here is another good info regarding the Mahabharath imp places--
