Quite interesting to think.

And the book also makes the observation that probably Kunti's Mantra to call the Gods could be simply a mobile phone.

It's fascinating to think about those things.😊

I have also read this book. This one is interesting. I think this book also talks about the early existence of an aeroplane - Pushpak Vimana from Ramayan could be something of that sort too.

I have also read about Gandhari's children being test tube babies and I was wondering if Karna was born through surrogation?

Because we did raise a question as to how Kunti hid her pregnancy from everyone. She could have gone the surrogacy way, because these names, Kunti and Madri etc may not actually refer to ONE PERSON tbvh.

PS: You are a Bengali?? Me too :)

Kundals protected his head according to Nrisingha Prasad. 😆

Two theories -

1. It could just be symbolic of his glow and his rage. Kavach is described to be glowing and covered his body right? I think it is probable that it was just a very beautiful Sanskrit way of describing his valour which was like a glow. But then it didn't serve any function as mentioned in the epic.

2. How about a deformity? I was reading somewhere that children born with something unnatural was abandoned by their mothers. Maybe this was kind of a strong skin or some kind of a skin disease he was born with. It's possible because we know that Kunti abandoned him. In this case I feel the Indra incident of asking for Kavach Kundal is interpolatation. A biology student maybe able to throw better light on this.

3. A bullet proof vest as you all say, but i don't think the Kavach was that strong because it was broken by many as per the text. A bullet proof vest could not be that transparent IMO

I think all of these are actually imagination and predictions of later scientific achievements.

Flying chariots - aeroplane

Connecting with others via mantras- fast communication

Sanjaya's talking - Television or video calling.

But these may not have actually happened at that age but I guess these were only over exaggerated imaginations, which we have successfully made reality today.

I am trying to find an scientific explanation with my limited knowledge, but my comment was just what purpose it served as per epic. Like the kundalas protected him from being beheaded.

However this isn't scientifically possible but I was wondering, is this an ancient version of a helmet? 😆

Lekin, contrary to TV depictions Sanjay does not do live telecasting na. He mentally would go into the battlefield view something and then give highlights to Dhrity.

If Dhrity asked only then would he elaborate on that topic.

I get that. I was just curious if the author himself had mentioned anything. Maybe it was extra level of protection, since head were to some degree protected by their mukuts also na?

Yep, Pushpak Vimana being an aeroplane was mentioned and as you mentioned, test tube babies of Gandhari.

Karna being born through surrogacy is very interesting

Yes, I am Bengali 😊. I know you are. I think I saw you when I used to lurk in Starbharat forum. A big Arjuna fan, right?
