@Pink - I will rephrase my sentence where I said she doesn't have any expectations. She does have expectations but her expectations are more along the lines of how to safeguard herself.

What I meant is mentioned in my previous post which Nandu has also mentioned in her post. She has bare minimum expectations.

Okay I will relate with an example. When Kunal's proposal came for her and during the whole courtship period, what she expected from her life partner was simple practical requirements. She wanted that her life partner would never leave her, is dependable, who will support her wish for independance and would have basic trust in her. She never asked for love nor did she want Kunal to run behind her or pamper her. She tried to get to know Kunal the way he was, or tried to like him the way he was. Even with all her requirements she didn't get offended when Kunal didn't support her when her father's identity came out or when Kunal told her not work. Instead she tried to work on the relationship. Honestly, if you look at it, the kushti courtship had red flags from the beginning. We as viewers could see that their views don't match. Even Mishti could feel it. But she persisted in this relationship. Haan, its true that Abir's intereference also made her confused, with the whole flowers, date and all. But if you look at it as a whole the guy who was in courtship with her was not interested in calling her, or spenting time with her, or didn't try to know her interests, nor was he interested in what kind of person she was. But still she persisted in that relationship because she thought she deserved only that. In fact her thought is skewed because Kunal's treatment of her was her normal. A girl who was abandoned by everyone in her life gets some consideration from her date, like she sends her flowers,arranges a date and saves her from fire, he doesn't abandon her. So, it was okay for her to put up with Kunal ignorance of her. But looking at the bigger picture, don't you think she was settling or compromising because she never experienced anything better.Shouldn't she have the expectation of being treasured by her life partner?? If at all Meenu hadn't planned the chandelier fiasco then she would have got married to Kunal. 🤓

Like Diya said Abir was her unexpected expectation. He gave her what she craved from Kunal. Infact a lot more. He gave her unconditional trust and unconditional love. Infact Nishant was correct in saying(LOL.....I am agreeing with him now😆) that Abir was her addiction. And why wouldn't she be addicted?? If a person came into her life without any obligation, loved her, supported her views, never questioned her , infact even motivated her to fight for her rights, understood her fears, constantly provided validation that he loved her, her family loved her, made her realise that her family was hers. Infact, this was something she never got from anyone in her life.

During lakeside breakup do u remember her saying "tumne mujhe itna pyaar diya ki saari duniya mein bhi naa ho "😒. It was true for her, because in her world nobody gave her that unconditional love. I mean its amazing that a girl who wasn't even sure about love became so sure about someone. From "jab apne hi haat chode de tho haat thaamne ki aadat nahi rahti" to this, the journey was indeed amazing.

Oh okay now I understood what you are trying to say about these minimum expectations,

you feel she should be expecting more when it comes to her ife partner , like pampering her , or loving her infact her requirements were more practical then emotional here , was that a compromise, oh definitely a big big yes , not only for mishti but also for kunal

that's what the kind of person she was , or should I say grew up to be , someone who was oblovious to love, with all the past events in her life, she grew up believe that love is conditional and something which is not meant for her , sometimes I believe that she demanded courtship because she knows that when a couple breaks off , more than the two people involved there, the people who were dependent on the couple gets affected , there was never a moment where she thought about something called love, in fact i remember just one day before the engagement when abir asked kunal if he loved mishti , kunal just responds saying kya kuhu jaisi batein kar rahe ho , obviously it was a no from his side , then on the engagement day when kuhu asked mishti whether she loves kunal , mishti was blank , obviously the answer was no , it amazes me that love wasn't the basic requirement for both mishti and kunal , practical expectations were more important ..... I remember a conversation in mahs house on kunal rejection and BP said that kunal was a kind of person who would not compromise himself but always expect his wife to do so , he doesn't consider his partner as an equal, equality is something which mishti definitely expected, in fact what you are trying to say that it was "her normal" it wasn't really one , it was a time where her patience was tested , whenever you see red flags in s relationship , there comes 2 paths to deal with it Path A is to back out from the relationship and path B is to try to mend the relationship with all the enthusiasm , mishti first tried to follow path B but in that path the basic requirement is to have a strong sense love , affection or any kind of emotional attachment , not only that the other person has to also give a significant response, mishku relation didn't have that strong affection and kunal wasn't really responding, infact a major turn came for mishti in the eye surgery track when she realised that kunal can even question her basic personality, with every step her patience was reducing, and she was moving from path B to path A .... so sooner or later, even if naman abir or kuhu weren't there in the picture , kunal and mishti would have broken off, not only the absence of love but the lack of understanding and compatibility was their major drawbacks.

Yes abir's presence in mishti's life brought to life an unexpected expectation and that was that unconditional love as a combination, something that she she never believed in , something that she believed she would have never experienced otherwise , I definitely agree with the points you made here !

Hmmm pure addiction toh nahi, nishant was hinting at a way how she got attached to abir mostly in a negative way 😆 Like in a way she cant see anything beyond abir that is causing harm to maheshwaris and nishant himself..

but actually it's more of a devotion, an attachment that lead to realisation of love and the bliss of rising above the individual barriers , something that AM witnessed in their journey , the kind of love that nannu wanted to understand but sadly couldn't 😛

mishti needs someone who can never her alone, as everyone left and for her morethan love she needs trust from her partner and not leaving her...

kunal needs someone who can be with him and do things for him, love is never his cup of tea after shwet, so he needs someone for himself , to do things for him, ask his permission before doing anything, maintain his family peace as he is done by listening to everyone, balancing between abir and meenu, so he needs support from his partner and a partner who never betray him like shwet...

even i remember in one epi naanu says mishti is the bridge between meenu and abir, for kunal and ask him to consider mishti as a prospective partner...

Yes you right , mishti got happy only when abir was around, in fact she used to get happy because abir was showing all the signs that he still loves her , but for abir , he felt the happiness was because of nishant's presence and not him , what abir felt that it wasn't like mishti was not happy with him, she was but what he observed is a different level of enthusiasm in her after she moved on and when nishant was around , in reality the over enthusiasm was because of abir only 😆

But after he got that letter "tumhari mishti" he realised that she still has those feelings for him and she hadn't moved on , she is giving in to the pressure and to a large extent abir is responsible for the same , nfact his reason of coming to the engagement was to stop mishti from getting into a relation that she didn't really wish , abir's question to BP there was very clear - do you really feel mishti is happy ? As the functions progressed, with every reaction of mishti, he got a confirmation that how wrong this decision is for the three of them , that's what he wanted her and nishant to realise that irrespective of anything, Mishti's real happiness is with him because she has those feelings of love only for him.
