Part-9

It was a new morning for Iyers as well as Bhallas. Ishita reached office and got to know that Raman called her, Mihir and Raghu uncle along with all HODs and other important people related to the company for a meeting. Soon the meeting started. He wanted to know each and everything about the company, their ongoing and upcoming projects, their development, their policies and the working environment. Till the end of the day, he had full information about the company, past present and future work and now he was ready to work for the company and prove himself. Simmi continued working in Bhallas company along with Mr Bhalla. Romi and rinki too joined to help them after Raman's exit.

From the next day, Raman started working for the company with new confidence and enthusiasm. He was working hard maintaining coordination with others. He was kind and friendly with everyone but also strict at work. Bhallas were seeing a new Raman in him as earlier he used to be hard working but carefree also and was enjoying his life but now he was just working and working, he also believed that a sufficient amount of rest is necessary so he never put overload on his employees making them liking him more as a boss. About Ishita, he used to avoid conversation with her, they used to have only necessary conversation but hiding from all, he had his eyes on her each and every activity, not to keep an eye on her but out of concern as he knew that she is introverted. He never went to home before her if she was in office and if she's out for work, he used to keep details until she reached home safely. He considered it as his responsibility. According to him, he didn’t want to force their fathers’ promise on her right now thinking to prove himself first in front of all and then will try to take it slowly but for himself, from the day he came to know about the promise, he really felt it as his responsibility to take care of her after her father’s dismissal. He still loves her but he was giving more preference to his responsibility right now as he don’t know the future of this promise, he is ready to fulfil it but not sure about Ishita and he was sure that he will accept her every decision and will give preference to her choice and desire as she has full right to think about her life and take decision on her behalf not only for her father or anyone else.

One day, Ishita was working in her cabin. It was 9:30 pm. She received a call from Adhiraj. They had a general conversation initially, then he asked her whereabouts to which she said that she was working in office. He advised her to go and rest for sometime to which she said she will go after completing it. He insisted and somehow made her agree to go home. She started packing her bag. At the other side, Raman was working in his cabin when he received Adhiraj's call.

A - I told her. She is going home. Is it fine?

R - Yes. Thank you so much.

A - Kya formality kar rha hai. Vaise tu directly usse keh sakta hai..

R - Ek din try kiya tha… par…. You know vo Meri sunti nhi….

A - I understand. Don't worry. Everything will be fine soon..

They were talking when he heard a knock on the door. Raman cut the call and asked the person to come in. Ishita entered inside making him surprised.

R - Tum? Kuch Kam tha?

I - When are you going home?

R - I was doing something, will go after sometime.

I - Ok.

R - Why? Any problem?

I - Vo actually…. I was going home. My driver took the car to fill the petrol tank and he will take time. I saw your car so…. Actually I tried to get some cab or taxi…..

R - You wait for a few minutes. I just came.

I - Ok.

She went out while Raman smiled and thought,

R - She is so complicated. Itni explanation for just a small thing. Simply bhi keh sakti thi ki she needs help but nhi. Iska Sara attitude Mera saamne hi nikalta hai.

He packed his bag and left. Soon they were on the way to her house. There was complete silence in the car. She was sitting and looking outside while he was driving and looking at her in between but she never changed her view. They reached her house and she came out of the car taking her things and thanked him without looking at him. He bid bye and left wishing her good night without waiting for her reply as he knew she would not reply and in the end, he will feel bad. He was irritated and sad due to her silent behavior but thought to give her time. Few months passed like this. No major changes in their life except that everyone was getting impressed with Raman the way he worked and managed the company. Ishita was one of them while Raman was happy seeing his own improved performance and always thanked Mr Iyer for giving such a big responsibility to him which forced him to do better. It was the second time he was proud of him, first when his father’s company needed him and he worked hard to save it.

It was another day, Mihir called Ishra to the factory which was under renovation to check the changes once. Both reached there and were checking and discussing with the manager. Raman got a call from the office and went aside. He was walking busy in the conversation. Ishmi were looking around when Ishita saw Raman walking without noticing anything around, he was going towards stairs and paint was spread on the floor. She got scared, called him but he couldn't hear as he was little far away and also due to machine noise. She ran to him calling his name. She was about to reach him when he heard her voice and turned to her. He stopped, looking confused and worried why she was running, got saved but unfortunately she walked on iron rods kept there and lost her balance, it was so sudden that he couldn't get time to hold her strongly, he tried but her hand slipped from his hand, she mistakenly put her foot into paint, slipped and fall on the stairs. Raman and Mihir were shocked. Both ran to her who was now lying on the floor, having injuries and bleeding. She got unconscious. Raman picked her while Mihir ran to bring the car. Soon they were on the way to the hospital, Raman was talking to her. Tears flowed from their eyes. They reached the hospital and Ishita was taken to the emergency. Her treatment started while Raman and Mihir informed their families about the incident and prayed for her waiting outside…..

Here I'm ending this part. I tried to explain Raman’s point of view.
