I too have good memories with that show but you know one thing idk it's just me or others felt the same too but Rishi/Zara (Indira's humshakal) romantic scenes were far better executed than Indira/Rishi were given. Rati and Sumit's on-screen chemistry was truly utilized and came out as a pair postleap only. So were the costumes. Actually most of the people I've come across on Twitter till now (except the dedicated fans) haven't really followed or had any idea what happened in HD post-leap. But the show surprisingly did continue to have good TRPs even after the leap.

Infact everyone thought they'd prove Zara as Indira later on even tho they already showed DNA reports not matching with Zara's with Indu's (Their daughter). I guess makers had the same plan. So did the on-screen characters believe she's Indira only for some reason. They used to recreate Indira/Rishi scenes on Zara-Rishi by showing flashbacks of Rishi/Indira scenes in the same frame. And tbh during Zara-Rishi lovetrack only cvs actually started focussing on the romance part on HD otherwise in HD pre-leap romance has been secondary but post-leap it was primary. They used to dedicate whole episode on Zara-Rishi romantic scenes. But alas they didn't prove her as Indira. I still dunno why. Sadly they made Rishi seem like those men & typical husbands who don't and can't accept their beloved when they're not in proper mental condition and forget all the love they had for you & becomes a burden or just responsibility for you. I thought cvs wouldn't show Rishi in the same light but he turned out to be the same. 🤢

Btw Pooja was amazing in Dusyasan vadh sequence too. I so wish to see Pooja and Aham together in a show since MB days. Exactly. Pooja not once did go overboard. And that wad het first show. What a performance!

I watched a serial called Kaali: ek punar Avatar. It was a short serial. Could have been interesting plot line if not ruined by SP special over-dramatization.

And I am pretty sure, I watched Ek haseena thi as well but hardly remember it. It was more of a time pass than genuine interest for me.

I liked Drashti more than Jennifer since DMG and I hoped for DD to be the protagonist. I was never a Jenny fan but I felt there is something special about her.

I loved DD as Geet but now when I try to watch the serial, I get bored. DD caters to kids and teenagers and now that I am no longer a teenager, I find her acting and shows OTT . Even in Madhubala Vivian was the show stealer. I went through the phase of utter jealousy for Vivian as he acted so well. I still like Drashti for her dance but not for her acting. I like her more in Jhalak dikh laja than in any of her shows. She is OTT in her real life too. 😆 Sanaya and Drashti Dhami are definitely dolls who are experts at OTT expressions.

There's a reason Jenny gets work and that too good work. It's because she acts damn well. I disagree that she can't play innocent characters. Her characters Riddhima and Zoya are so beautiful .

What she pulled on television with Maya is commendable. Her character is artistically pure evil. We usually hate evil characters but well she looked so perfect so evil that I was curious about what she is going to do next and she never was OTT. I still am not a fan and I still wouldn't defend Jenny as I defended DD but i would watch her shows and appreciate how she divine she looks. She ain't a good dancer like DD but she definitely is a great actress. If anyone could play both Elena and Katherine Pierce in India , it would be Jennifer winget.

And yes I watched MJHT and Hitler Didi. Skipped Porus because I have little to no interest in historical shows. MJHT was heart man. That show increased my interest in cheesy Youth shows of India.

Out of all the actresses you mentioned.

I used to think Pooja was going to be a BW actress after Mahabharata. She was hot, could speak good hindi ( rarity in today's bollywood) and was a decent to good actor. Don't know what happened to her.

Aditi- BW is not the industry for her. They would typecast he into indie movies or supporting characters. Not that it's a bad thing but she will not get the hype she deserves. I think it's better to be protagonist in a show than being a side character in a movie. But that's just my opinion.

Rashami - I adore her man and would love to see her in BW movies but as I said she doesn't has age on her side. She would be stuck in roles which Ankita Lokhande is being offered (Manikarnika and Baaghi 3). I would rather watch her in a limited series on Television. There is a dearth of good actresses on tv and she has the TRP pull to make unconventional topics work. Would love to see her in a role of successful designer/lawyer/editor mentoring a young actress with no romance drama. I think it would make for a great watch.

Jennifer is super talented and beautiful. Loved her portrayal as Maya. Another actress whose already made it to Bollywood from TV is Radhika Madhan who is talented and pretyy.

Funny how people couldn't defend their stars for their talent and appreciation they get so jumped to TRP. When it comes to TRP, we all know it's only the overly dramatic actresses like Divyanka who will be leading as they act in shows that are typical saas-bahu stuff that our elder aunties like watching. Its not about their talent or how much they're loved...but more about the shows they act in! Those type of actresses will never be popular in Bollywood, because in Bollywood stars are more loved for their own personalities, looks, screen presence and talent. Which is why many named Jenny.

You stole my words. People here forget that trps don't define or measure the stardom or talent of an artist. They are two different things altogether.

yea it's good (till now whatever I've seen so far but I heard show goes into a mess after they removed Nupur's character midway, I've not gone there yet).

Btw have you follwed Rati as Indira? She delivered kick-ass performance in HD.

I don't find her that pretty. There are 100 times better looking actresses out there on TV and in acting too. I guess it's subjective plus sab chadti suraj ko salaam karte hein that's the thing with Jennifer. She doesn't deserve majority of the hype or credit she gets as an actress. Well everyone's entitled to their opinion and I've come across many people around me on Twitter who feel the same way about Jennifer's acting chops.
