We are alternating dusting-cooking-washing within the family. I mostly do jhadu and pocha, parents alternate between dusting and other misc work, then we alternate between breakfast/lunch/dinner. I mostly volunteer for cooking since it's theraupatic during this time of stress and panic. Search for sustainable recipes that doesn't need many ingredients, helps a lot now with limited grocery.

Baki ka time is spent in reading/watching as usual. There are many ivy league free courses online, you can try them out or learn a new language or take up a new habit since it takes 21 days to get used to a habit.

.

Biggest takeaway of this pandemic has been living the life of a mother in the this country for the next 21 days (mostly, since most of our mothers are housewives in the country). Can't even imagine what goes through their mind while staying home all day and all night and they have been doing this all their life and has become a habit and we are getting panic attack with just a week of work from home.

You are living a mother’s life but taking it away from her...All the moms are going through a panic attack too with so much crowd at home all the time which amounts to nothing but a whole lot of work for them poor beings...

Yeah that's why it's necessary to divide the work. Agar har banda ek dedicated cheez regularly kare toh it becomes easier during such lockdowns. And we Indians should collectively take an effort to learn cooking beyond the maggi and chai, esp the younger generation. It should be a must for boys and girls.

So my office is shut for a month, and we're expected to work from home. I just can't seem to focus and keep procrastinating.

How are you guys coping?

I tried:

  • reading a book called To Kill a mockingbird, and then threw it away after 2 pages
  • tried to watch a new series called Money Heist, and lost interest after one episode
  • watched some old Telugu movies and then switched off TV
  • Sleeping for 10 hours a day
  • Tried to work out - did it for 15 minutes and then finished one packet each of Oreo and Haldirams Tasty Nuts to recover
  • Dancing for 10 mins and then eating a bar of snickers to regain lost energy
  • Clicking 50 selfies during different times of the day when there's change in lighting
  • Tried to cut my hair and coloured it - it looks awful so that puts a stop to selfies for a while
  • Spending a few hours on twitter and a few mins on Insta

Do you have some innovative ways to kill time this? What are you doing?

I had "tried" to read that book too. Didn't go past 2 or 3 pages. Heard the movie based on it is pretty good though, in my to-watch list. 😃
