He is a way ahead of his time his thoughts are good about gender equality and all that but he lacks the basic awareness of his surroundings. And the problem is he has very less patience, if someone doesn't agree with him he just shouts and yells and forces his thoughts down their throats. As you said bondita is much more convincing, she raises questions which no one can disagree with. Even the men who came for complaining, kaka and everyone were speechless at her tark, they also knew what she was speaking wasn't wrong. If ani would have spoken instead of her i feel he would just have shouted and shooed them away.

He doesn't know what's happening in India as he was studying in London... though he is getting all comforts in his place so how would he know what's happening around and there is no ladies at home of his..how wil he know that gau ki ladki are going to river for bathing and stuff..He came to India and immediately got married before exploring what it lacks so can't blame him for that!!

But I can agree that he is not like bon as she keeps her point clear with her questions.. infact her questions has answer too 😳 she knows what to talk and how to talk with ease not like Ani who gets anger and irritated if ppl couldn't understand his point!! (Because he grew up in such place where everything seems to be simple and correct equally,he doesn't have to fight there..)

But here in India woh chila chilake bolega tabi bhi manenge nahi!!!

That village ppl never accepted their mistake after bon confronted and spoke sensible eve though they had problem that how can a women do like it or talk.. if it wasn't Ani they would have never went from there!!
