The hero in that movie, had always followed his father's rules in the house and tried to be the son he wanted, but wished to at least get a job and marry the girl of his choice. These qualities are complete opposite to Abir. Abir has always been a rebel with a cause, he's always been brave to do what he wants in his life, the way he wants to live his life, he has. Even with a controlling mom like Meenu, she has never successfully restrained him, which is not the case in the movie.

Actually the son breaking down scene in that movie would work very nicely with Kunal's character who has been a puppet to Meenu. He's followed almost every word of hers, respects her greatly, it's only very recently he's started to make his own life decision.

Kunal breakdown... nandu this is actually a good idea.. kunal being stuck between abir n meenu n in all this loosing his own identity, this will be an amazing plot yaar... there is still alot more to who he is as a person n what he wants rather than following meenu or abir kunal trying to find himself,...

I am one of those who doesn’t see these arguments or fights as if they’re falling apart or cracking. Their love very strong and I am happy that the makers took nearly 200 episodes to lay their foundation. It is STRONG.
It happens to all the couples who steps into a new life especially in a joint family. He is not taking kuhu’s side, in fact he is siding up with Nanko... and also protecting Mishti from Meenu’s trap. All I want is listen to her first ( like he used to do) and then speak up your mind instead of making assumptions that he will hurt her if he shares anything with her. She is your wife after all. But he is throwing inappropriate words at her, might get her back into her eshaan shell. He is wrong if he thinks kuhu will listen to him. If she really does, she wouldn’t have walked into their room to blame mishti again and break the photo frames.
Mishti is right when she said ‘koi bhi jeethe but they are losing. I hope he wakes up from his slumber soonish.

Count me in too yaar. I don't see this is a big issue in their relationship, just because they're married now doesn't mean they should know how to handle everything and we can't expect them to be perfect in managing their family dynamics. It's all a learning curve. Like Abir (and our parents n elders often say) said at bidaii, "abhi toh humari kahani shuru hui hai". He's absolutely right, their journey to get married and accepted as lovers is a whole different battle, that was a beautiful story on its own. Now that they're married, their lives and family matters are deeply connected, it's a whole new story and journey now. 😊And I'm intrigued to see how they discover each other's deep inner emotions and learn to adjust to their flaws as they work out family dynamics.

@bold: absolutely right. I'm also disappointed for the same reason. But that's what we've been seeing again and again from the writers. They've been playing the same twists in abir n mishti's character traits respectively, in the previous tracks. That's just how it's going to be.

Yup I'm sure Abir will sooner or later come around. As usual like Uru said in her post, we will see a big dhamaka which wakes up Abir and he'll be back in his haath jodke, kaan pakadke maafi phase again.

Yes, meenu has always been that chalaak sly villain; and hit her targets really well, finding their weak-points perfectly. Her execution (just like our writers/makers😉) is where she fails, she underestimates Abir n Mishti's powers and hence her plans always fail😆🤣
