I used to be crazy for this show. Wouldn't miss a moment of it. I loved it. 🙈

My coping mechanism for the Corona scare is watching Zombie movies------to remind myself that the effect of a virus could always be way worse.

Atleast we are not yet turning into zombies by biting others and then eating others' brains.

Only touching and making each other sneeze.

Things could always be worse and zombie movies are helping me to think that way.

Last night I watched Zombieland-2 in about 3 a.m. and felt at peace.

And I am worshiping it. How more sadist can one get?

To be honest I was always apprehensive about this show. The older members would remember, the one thing I asked in the MM forum, before this forum was launched is that do they have enough material on RK to run even a year-long serial.

I thought maybe it'll be okay (as per scriptures) for the first few months and then they'll run a rampage, but they made up some completely different scripture of their own!

My first breaking point was, Radha not remembering who she was. Look, Sridhar cursed Radha right, and so she should suffer, logically? But if she remembers nothing about herself, she is not missing anyone, she's happy being a simple gopi, and saara punishment and the viraha and all is being bore by Krishna!

Didn't that defeat the whole purpose of Sridama's curse there? The main point of that curse was that Radha would remember and pine for Krishna every second of her life, right from her birth, repenting for having insulted Sridama! Where is that repentance and that pining in this Radha? The one who could've broken that curse in a heartbeat and gone to live with Krishna, but who CHOSE that life of viraha because she realized she had to repent?!

So that your leave is extended ?

That's not sadism, that's desperation---like a child who hasn't studied for exams wants to get an upset stomach aka loose motions on exam day. 😆

I never cared about originality. It was fun. The casting, costumes, humour, acting, music --- everything was good. The Vadha stories were relatable. The choreographies were really good. So many Rash and last year holi was the best. So I loved it.

My first nail on the coffin was Krishna's marriage proposal. It was the first red alert.

I stopped being regular since Radha's blackmail marriage.... Didn't watch the marriage. Krishna character got butchered after that.

After that everything went down the drain. It became boring, monotonous....still I kept watching every now and then while skipping episodes....

I have totally stopped now because the new casting sucks, the new costumes suck, the characters don't have any consistency left, Radha is annoying, Kribal conversations( which used to be one of the main attractions ) are monotonous and single layered and yes---Radha is annoying.

I never cared about its similarities with scriptures and still don't. I have always regarded and treated it as an individual show and even considering from that angle, it has gone entirely down the drain.

It's no more interesting.

It's become boring. That's my reason.😆

I agree, they set a new style in the Mytho area, and kudos to them for that!

I wouldn't have cared also, just that they insisted they were following something but they didn't. That's basically what irked me. 🤔

There was another major reason for why I always wanted a RK show.

I love to watch separation onscreen.

Mujhe Milan se zyada Viraha rash pasand hai and what else could give me a good separation story than Radha Krishna !?

I liked their teenage love story coz I was mostly looking forward to their separation after Kans vadh.

But here there's no separation. They are still not separated. Even when they were physically apart, they could see each other whenever they wanted, Radha could see everything through Shuka, they could talk whenever they wanted-----how was that any different from this Facebook generation ?!?

They never had to crave each other. Radha never became the Yogan of Krishna because she never needed to.

If the west has Romeo Juliet, we have Radha Krishna. But what if Romeo and Juliet don't die and start living together in an open relationship where he marries one girl after another and call all of them friends and Juliet as the bff ? How fcuked up would that be ?

The main essence of a Radha-Krishna story is love amidst separation and that is entirely lost here.

I don't get what's wrong with bollywood. Here Akbar, who supposed to have a harem was in a monogamous relationship with jodha in the movie. And here Krishna, who is supposed to be romance personified, has a weird sort of platonic harem aka friendship club.
