I think since Saudamini was their original choice for Ani, that's why she had been handling all the responsibilities of the DIL in the Roychowdhury household.

After that dupatta wala scene where he was about to smile but stopped himself, I was extra cautious with his expressions today.. but thank God, Ani ne disappoint nahi kiya mujhe.
