Totally agree. Saying “we’re just friends” is completely normal but the whole one-sided jhaap is definitely just a cover up for MSK. Because by saying it’s one-sided she’s justifying why she’s not moving forward in the show, because she is already in love with someone even if that person doesn’t feel the same.
Also, I think in a way maybe Sana thought saying it’s one-sided was the safest way to go.. because considering the way she said ILY and the way she was really expressive about her feelings for Sid in BB, I think she thought people would really come at her if she just played all of that down by saying it’s just friendship. She may have thought that audiences and fans would react really badly and would have questioned the authenticity of her feelings for Sid if she now labeled it as friendship. And just in general, it’s clear that she is so in love that she doesn’t even want to label what they have has friendship, her feelings are so strong and she is an expressive girl, she wants to openly claim him as hers. She can’t control the fact that Sid himself doesn’t open up about his feelings in public but she wants to let it be known to all that for her, he is everything. And that’s totally fine, that’s why we love her because she is so unapologetically herself and she is so real and honest. Her intention behind calling it one-sided might not have been wrong but the impact of it has been damaging. I think that’s where she went wrong. Labeling it as one-sided wasn’t smart at all, it started raising more questions against both Sana and Sid, even more against Sid.
It’s honestly really tricky, and it’s all because of MSK. If she calls her feelings for Sid just dosti, then the audience and fans would expect her to be more free and involved in the show. If she calls it one-sided, audience and fans wonder why she’s even doing this show if she’s already given her heart to someone else. So no explanation works, and that’s why MSK is a piece of shit that needs to end 😆
Exactly ..She did say a lot in bb house including "tu hee mera khasam hai," ..after that she cannot brush it under carpet and say we r just friends ..so using one sided narrative was safe bet to escape marriage part but same time do the show as well bec its only fm her side as per her narrative ...sid too mayb playing along the same lines with his friendship chant ..
And pahira r using same narrative too if u see ..
