yeah, if the only purpose of Alia was to separate them then they could have thought of much better plots. Trust was anyways not there on Aman's side. So just Parveen being attached and Roshni was not there in that scene could have sufficed enough. Alia was not needed at all as all she did was massacre his character.

They brought Alia to create separation which was a bad move after they confessed. It only showed Amans hypocrisy. They should have stuck to mum and separated them it would have been believable but Alia and kid? The total trust in her and not listening to roshni - and now this. What can I say hun?
