Okay guys - decided to give this some closure might pick it up again in the near future.

Chapter 13 - Conclude

Khushi lay awake in bed thinking about what might have been said between brother and sister. Argument, feud, tears

She felt helpless, a cause yet by far not the solution.

Some hours later when Arnav walked into the room she watched him walk straight out into patio divide.

He stood still there for 5 mins, 10, 15 until Khushi crept up behind. Watching the water in the pool and the fairy lights on the wall was comforting but it was also cold.

“You’ll catch a cold” she said hugging him from behind .. when she tried again when he didn’t answer she murmured. “Aap theek ho?”(Are you okay?)

He turned back to bring her into his arms and nodded.

“Just thinking” he said, which was another word for worrying she thought.

“Aur di?” (And di?) she said looking up at him, her hands now resting on the chest of his shirt.

“She’ll be fine.” He replied with a sigh.

..

The next morning, Khushi walked the corridors of Raizada house looking for Arnav. She found him stood with Anjali in a corridor, talking. She of course had no intention of interrupting.

“Aap ka naasta tayar hai, (You’re breakfast Is ready”) she said to Arnav.

He nodded agreeing to be right down.

“Khushi” called out Anjali

“Ji Di” said Khushi walking back.

Anjali wanted to spend a little time with Khushi to let her know there was no hard feelings and Arnav gave them the space they required for that.

Khushi brewed coffee - made pancakes request from Arnav more than anyone. Whilst the rest of the house was being decorated and prepped for NK and Jenifers wedding Arnav was in need of some reminiscent moments after the last few days. Breakfast the way Khushi made and bought into the office for him before they married was one of those sweeter memories.

She’s fragile” Arnav warned as he cut into his breakfast and spoke to Aman who sat on the table with him.

Khushi was in the background hoping Arnav wouldn’t give Aman a hard time. Everyone knew Aman was a nice man, loyal to Arnav and the family. More so he’d been their friend from day 1.

“I understand” aman reassured Arnav.

“I wouldn’t trust her with anyone else —she is my sister so..”

“I won’t let you down” promises Aman who truly wanted to win over Anjalis heart if she would let him.

In the end Arnav smiled patting Aman on the shoulder.

It wasn’t long before pari had made her way into the kitchen and sort attention of them Aman thought it best to entertain pari then be grilled by ASR.

Leaving Arnav and khushi with a little privacy, Khushi tops up Arnavs coffee.

Thank you he says “these taste even better than I remember” he compliments.

A little smile from Khushi ..a little lighthearted conversation until both Arnav and Khushi spot Nk and Jenifer romancing at a distance. On display for the house to see.

“I’ll break it up” says Arnav,

“Rehne dijyey” (let them be) says Khushi catching Arnavs hand keeping it at his breakfast plate.

“They’re in love and they’re getting married.”

“Yey tum Keh rahin ho - You’ve changed your tune” he said with surprised eyes.

Khushi just gave off a relaxed smile talking this moment to mention something she’d thought about all night.

“Aap se kuch kehna tha” (there was something I wanted to say)

“Hmm” he said finishing off his breakfast.

“Aap ka woh sapna” (that dream of yours)

Woh ghar .. (The house far far away”)

Atcha hai (It’s nice)

“It is isn’t it” he says still focused on his plate.

“Chale?” (Should we go?”)

Arnavs eyes dart up from his breakfast. Trying to figure out whether what he was hearing was in-fact true?

....

3 days later wedding day for Nk and Jenifer as Arnav looks on at Raizada house, all decorated he sees pari happily running around, Anjali doing the last min prep with Aman. Payal and Akaash helping Nk get ready.

The family and his home seemed in harmony. This evening post the wedding they’d fly out to their new life.

Arnav just wanted a few mins to take in all that he had lived and breathed until now.

Hearing and feeling Khushis presence Arnav turns to his side to see Khushi dressed beautifully to compliment his suit.

“Khushi you’re not just doing this for me are you” Khushi tum bas mere liyey toh yeh nahin kar rahin ho na”

He wanted to make sure.

“Hah, aur na bhi” yes and no she said.

“Hamare liyey she said - for us”

Arnav looked towards her for a moment with inquisitive eyes and she answered.

Just to make sure she put her lips to his ear to whisper news of their baby.

Gentle Laugher and tears is what they shared affectionately.

6 months in at the other side of the world, there’s a knock on the door of family home.

Arnav picks up a little bundle of joy named aditi and heads to the door whilst Khushi makes baby forumula in the kitchen.

Arnav with a very fatherly look now opens the door to his family who was there to surprise them.

All under one roof yet again - Arnav and khushi forever saving hearts!

The list went on and on..

Awww super cute

They moved into their own place and now have a little girl. Khushi deserves all the happiness. Too bad we didn't see a turnaround from dadi.

Enjoyed reading the chapter loved it. Sad the story has come to an end but you have ended it on a happy note. Would have loved to see a confrontation between Arnav and Dadi regarding Kushi.

I think Anjali has given a closure to Shyam so also Arnav has seen that Anjali doesn’t remain a spinster by giving his right hand man Aman green signal to marry Anjali.

when kushi saw that Arnav’ had full filled his duty as a brother and all the family members had settled down and were happy with their respective partners .she gave in to his idea of settling down in their dream house along with it she gave him the good news that they were soon going to become parents.

Finally Arnav and kushi were blessed with a beautiful girl. But the siblings never left them alone always remained in close contact with them.

Hello Jagrithi I did not know how I have missed this story of yours. But read it in one go. I always love your stories , they are so good and most of them are very close to the real life.

I like the relationship between Arnav and Khushi , they compliment each other so good
