I actually enjoyed listening to her softer numbers like roi na and yeah she can definitely work on her singing.

Her popularity is a do dhari talwaar yaar. Hope I’m using that muhaavra appropriately (if it aptly means a double edge sword then I am लोल).

No doubt she became one of the most popular contestants of BB. Her popularity post BB however (if you’ve observed) has primarily revolved around “Sidnaaz” and the so called attachment with Shukla. So much so that in almost every one of her insta live she’s made references to that bond remaining strong, possibly marrying Shukla if he so wishes to and a constant reassurance that even though she’s presently a part of a show to find love or a possible marriage partner, she won’t really get involved or married. The show is only entertainment, contradicting the very name of the show itself.

Her current insta account has not made one mention of her new show (not even in the stories). Her posts are all about Bigg Boss and Shukla still. (Strangely I could no longer find her twitter page in a google search but I’m not on twitter so dunno if that is why).

She created an image for herself in BB — not sure what to call it — a character she was playing. Since leaving BB she’s not behaving the same childish immature and joking rude way — that ‘bacchi hai’ was not only her USP in BB but also her excuse for a lot of mean stuff she’s pulled during the show. It’s almost as if she knows how inappropriate it is to behave that way in the real world - go figure 😉

This BB image of hers is somewhere conflicting with her ‘new real’ personality or so it would seem. She’s known to make mean jokes at other people’s expense — it’s what landed her into her controversy with Himanshi outside catapulting her into her first real industry recognition. Inside the house too she’s often behaved in this mean spirited way but was never reprimanded (The Shefali lips incident being one such example).

So we can safely deduce that taking a joke too far is in her nature. Having reached a certain kind of popularity now she can’t be doing those kinds of antics (it’s somewhat ok inside a BB house where real and reel sort of blur a tad). There’s no Bigg Boss or Salman Khan to excuse her disrespect for others (like Koena Mitra — another mean spirited behaviour example) and bacchi hai excuse will not fly in the real world of celebs. She’s trying to walk a fine line between the Katrina Kaif /Rakhi Sawant of Punjab tag.

It’s almost a little sad like to see her insecurities with this new found fame and her fans. Have seen a few interviews of her asking her fans to not leave her and that she’ll do anything for them. (mind you I don’t watch a lot of her stuff — I’m just not that genuinely interested in her).

I don’t feel like this show is helping her image much and she may fall out of favours of people who were on the fence about her during BB (like myself — not that my opinion or I matter 😂).

I’ve seen her rendition of Roi Na (the only one I could find of her softer numbers) and yes I’ll agree it’s a good enough rendition for what I call a home singer — it’s no Indian Idol selection phase material... She would be sent back to work on her voice some more. Think I even saw a UU in BB where Paras had given her that advice to work on her singing and take lessons.

So anyway all in all my lamba chauda personal opinion on Shehnaaz Gill is that her personality that propelled her into fame could very well be the same thing that can pull her down cause’ people have fit her into that mould of the image she herself created on BB. Her humour and her entertainment predominantly came from picking on others in a mean spirited way which she can’t do now in the real world anymore cause’ she wants to stay away from controversies.

This leaves her singing which is what I feel she could have or should have concentrated and worked on and created content there — alas, there is still time after this show stint now but let’s see.

She’s trying to bank on her BB fame by going back into a real vs reel suspended form of reality. Except now the semi-conscious Shehnaaz isn’t behaving like she did in BB and seems like people are catching on.

I have seen die hard Sidnaaz fans say she only acts that way with Shukla. No Shukla so no bacchi Shehnaaz. See the irony there?

Ha ha now this is a show I would have considered watching. Right now it just looks like Shehnaaz and Paras think they are the best things to happen since slice bread and are so full of themselves it’s off putting. It’s really horrible how rude they sound to the contestants.

There is no real entertainment in this show only reality TV crap. My friend compared Shehnaaz to Honey BooBoo and since then we call her SanaBooBoo 🤣😂

So happy the doctor is showing Sana the mirror. She is obnoxious to the male contestants.

You never know Sana might actually end up liking the guy. She holds the track record of liking guys who treat her like she is nothing and manhandle her.
