Rajeev said that because he wanted Rudra to notice the mark, so that when Diya is revealed to be pregnant he thinks that it was Diya's mark to MJ. Only, had Rajeev phrased it differently.

Yes it had that innuendo, CVs know how to play with their dialogues. Rajeev may not know about Maya and MJ, he only knows MJ killed her baby, he doesn't know why.

Rudra wouldn't mind if it's between his parents, but if later Diya is revealed to pregnant in front of him, he might connect the dots, wrong and right, wrong about the mark and right about the affair. Let's see how MJ strikes back.
