Lol that new show's promo raised my bp good luck to the trp audience. I don't think it will create wonders when it comes to trp. I think star plus has already made it's mind to end khkt. They have always been shady when it comes to khkt promotions. What channel doesn't air a promo for a Shaadi track?? They didn't promote Shaadi track expecting it to gain low trps but were slapped by high trps instead so that must have realised the show already has true fanbase and has already made its place for it's content so not promoting won't serve their agenda. So they must have decided to just axe it suddenly. Definitely some internal politics going on. I just hope karma hits them and sandiip comes back with a beautiful show on web platform. I know Karan will work with him in future not sure about Dipika since he didn't mention about working in future with her I wonder why? He should cast them again take advantage of the popularity of that pair. I respect him when he said khkt is over. I think he feels betrayed so I understand why he is pissed.

But @IshRaian i am just not getting the point of introducing a show like Anupuma i mean we all know it will be a boring watch. Why would they axe a good trp show for a boring drama. Let me tell you few things, first things first, Anupuma is an unoriginal concept. It is a hindi remake of our West Bengal's popular daily soap opera Sreemoyee which is based on a middle aged housewife who wants to relive her life after her family members disowns her for their selfish reasons. I know this is a good story but Sreemoyee airs at 7 pm and it is the trp topper show so if they had to launch Anupuma they could have gave it an 8 pm slot why 9 pm. In Zee tv's age Pavitra Rishta was shifted to 6:30 pm then why cant Kasauti be shifted to 6:30 pm atleast it will not get 0.5 trp like Sanjivani.

Yeh toh kuch bhi nahi. Gul once had 4 shows running on the channel: Shitbaaz, Nazar, Kullfi and Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji.

StarPlus was GulPlus back then. 😆

I can clearly write on pen and paper that after Anupuma replaces KHKT people will watch KKB more than any show. Anupuma is an utter boring cliché a complete copy paste. This is really sad that a copy paste is replacing a truly modern show like KHKT. Sadly makers are not in a state of mind to put things right at this moment of hullabaloo otherwise we would have got so much of tashan, so much of attitude from Sona's side. Infact makers never planned this twist also, they were interested in showcasing Sonakshi as a very strong and rich actress after leap but Star Plus didnt wanted this that is why the next moment script changed and they made Sona losing her show and all that shit stuff just to make audience stay away from the show but look at the splendid acting, it pulled audience more closer to the show and now the show is on top 14. I dont know who is so keen to ruin KHKT from the channel team but whoever is doing this Karma will hit hard that him/her and Anupuma will become a big flop because i am sure trp audience will not prefer EMA which is in that show !!

Even Kullfi Kumar Baajewala was remake. It still did have a good 1 year run at the top before it dwindled in the ratings. So just because it is a remake, doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Second we can’t write off show just because we find it boring. Online audience mainly look for romance which necessitates an ML and FL. So naturally we’d find such shows boring.
As you said, the original is a TRP topper. So there is a chance that the Hindi audience also like this show and make it No. 1

About slots, different slots have different viewership in different languages. For example in Tamil 8 pm slot gets the highest ratings (nowadays it has become 7pm). However among Hindi GECs 9-10 band is the strongest. So we can’t say that StarPlus should lunch it at 7 pm since the original airs at the same time.

I so much hate gul from turning Ib into Shitbaaz. She ruined one of her golden project because of her dirty self proclaimed ego. Redux was the dirtiest part of that show.

I don’t deny that KHKT is a good show. But let’s face facts: KHKT has become a typical ITV show now. There is no going back. We have had bad tracks like Raina gatecrashing Ronakshi’s proposal, the wedding fiasco and many more horrible tracks where Rohit didn’t trust Sona. So the show was already in destruction mode long before. The destruction became complete the day they made Nishi a villain. So let’s not blame anyone else other than the creatives. Channel pressures every show to get TRP. So it is not like KHKT is the only victim. KHKT’s makers have given in to SP’s pressure and have destroyed the show. So even before the decision to ace the show was taken, the show had been ruined.

Second, it is clear that no matter how much longer KHKT runs, it will never be able to beat KKB which is having around 1.0 TRPs more than KHKT.

I agree that they could have shifted it to 6:30 to 7:30 slots since those shows are the worst performing ones. Unfortunately two of them are new lunched that leaves with just the 6:30 slot. Maybe the channel offered it to Sandiip’s and he refused because no show can sustain for long at that slot. Maybe he felt that it is better to leave the screen while airing atprime time than being relegated to an early evening slot.

The thing is even Sandiip will not reveal all the intonation to us for many reasons. So we’d never know what really happened apart from the picture he paints. In Sandiip’s story, he will of course make him look the victim. But you never know.

It was a different case for Kulfi. Kulfi was a relationship between father and daughter it had a different storyline which attracted viewers but it is not necessary that the same magic will work here also. This is an unattractive storyline and in terms of trp it will get only 1.3 or 1.4 not more than that and the biggest part is that Karma will not let this show stay in peace coz the producer is greedy and he will fail utterly miserably !!!!!!
