You shouldn't. Creating self doubts in employees is part of the corporate politics.

I was being treated as a loser in my 2nd job even though I had been handling projects one after another single-handedly.

When I was given data entry jobs in spite of being an engineer and a developer, I called it quits and immediately I was given a raise and a big 2 yrs project.

They just apply the carrot and stick policy to keep control over employees.
