#Ladaku Chokro-A KuKu (Ritvik and Kaveri) DTNt Pg 31 AT Nt Pg63/143 - Page 65

There are a few things I've been thinking about; one being Meenu's wedding gift for Mishbir and the other being the AbiNal scene where Kunal admits to Abir that he hasn't admittd his feelings to Kuhu.

Sam had beautifully interpreted the Meenu-Kuhu balcony scene where we see Meenu as the only person who truely sees Kuhu's growth and appreciates her efforts. Kuhu also prides herself on the relationship she has built with Meenu. BUT what happens when Meenu gifts Mishti the papers. How will that affect Kuhu? We've already seen her lose her shit with the divorce being revealed. To what extent will this push her?

Coming to AbiNal's convo. He has appparently had a relationship with Shweta right? But he doesn't have the confidence in expressing his true feelings; his love. It has me wondering if ever openly expressed his love for Shweta when they were together? Or if this the result of multiple broken relationships? I think he has retreated into himself somewhat and is very protective of his feelings and emotions. Like after the fight between Kuhu and Kunal when Kuhu packs her bags to leave for good, Abir asks his Nanko to look at him but he refuses while he's upset. Even during the fight between Kunal and Kuhu, he loses it a bit and we see him so obviously hurt. The day before, he calls Kuhu because he wants to be with her/talk to her, using the the surprise for Mishti as an excuse. When she rudely rejects him, he looks shattered.

It sure explains why he's taking his time to openly express his feelings to Kuhu despite knowing that Kuhu has served as his comfort at his lowest.

Does anyone know if Indian Television is going through a bad phase right now? Financially and in terms of viewership? I mean, shows begin and end left, right and centre.

HTGAWM is amazing!! Especially the 1st season! I'm still procrastinating about watching the 5th and 6th season because then it will end and I'm not ready to say goodbye to yet another show.

ITV might be going through a bad phase because of streaming platforms. When you're getting a solid storyline with good fleshed out characters, why wouldn't people watch that over dayaan and chipkali shows.

@aqua: NOPE. I am staying put in this AT where I don't have to start from "once upon a time when Mishti and Kuhu were young" every time I make a post. I may be okay with Kuhu embracing the drama, but I am certainly not going to follow suit! 😉

Thank you all once again for being so open to this reading of the show! I know it's getting harder and harder and after reading today's update, I will probably follow through on my back-up plan.

I have also watched that BTS hug scene more times than I care to share. It really is the perfect culmination to their story and I just really hope it's not cut by some cruel twist of fate. I'm looking forward to it being my stand-in happy ending!

Meenu's wedding gift for Mishbir worries me too and Kuhu is definitely going to have an adverse reaction. But is that still happening now that Meenu isn't going to Akshardam anymore?

We know so little about Kunal and Shweta's relationship that this is purely conjecture, but I believe that pre-Shweta Kunal wasn't too much different, he was still the shy, sarcastic, seedha-saadha guy we know just more innocent. Shweta probably took the lead in that relationship (obviously with her ulterior motives) and made him feel worthy as his own person when he was constantly torn between his mom and brother.

Meenu probably figured out she was a gold digger but instead of telling Kunal, orchestrated her disappearance to make Kunal feel indebted and take on the responsibility of the family overnight and to make him feel like he couldn't trust his own choices. Shweta's abandonment and especially not knowing why she left, absolutely broke Kunal to the point where he was willing to marry Mishti, despite the red flags, just to avoid being rejected again. That engagement falling through hurt him not because he wanted to marry Mishti but because he was publicly humiliated and it made him feel more unworthy of love.

I think with Kuhu, he always expected the other shoe to drop -- either she leaves him because she realises he isn't worth it, just like the Shweta and Mishti did, or he has to leave her to protect Abir/Meenu. She showed him that he could have the best of both worlds -- his love could be something that worked for his family rather than against it. The beautiful thing about their relationship is that she gets him -- she never took his anger personally because it wasn't ever about her. It was something he had to get through to be able to love her. If he does the same for her insecurity, it will bring their story a full circle. And that's what's compelling about this couple. Their feelings for each other, that spark between them has been plain to see since very early on, but they have to work through their individual burdens to build their relationship.

@Nikki: Same! I love a character with a good arc, where morality is something to be discussed and debated, not something that is decided for you.

Don't mind me. I'm in meme mood space. But ambe maa ki saugandh if you write a headcanon on KuKu, I would read it over and over again. Baithe bithaaye baaton baaton me Kunal-Sweta ki backstory de gayi aap to. Achha laga kuch dhang ka padh ke because episode dekh kar to kya mood off hua mera.

@aqua: I am also bummed after watching today's episode (you're post on the forum is HILARIOUS, btw 🤣). They deleted so many little details from the BTS like Kunal helping Kuhu up from the mandap (whatever, I know it happened; it's canon). And him leaving her with that dupatta? That was so weird -- why wouldn't he just hold her hand and take her with him? 😕 It was like, "tum ek minute ye shaadi sambhalo, main bhai ko dekh kar aata hoon" 🤔 Story of Kuhu's life? Probably.

I really wish Mishti had either said no to Kuhu and let her throw a tantrum in front of the elders, or if she said yes, then completely give Kuhu what she wants. This sleight of hand where she does the mahaan thing, gets all the credit but then turns around and makes it redundant by pulling focus at the last minute and making her moment bigger is exactly what pisses Kuhu (and me) off. The way Kuhu turned back and smiled at Mishti showed that she was really grateful and was probably ready to call it even after this wedding. So much for that!

That said, there were some lovely details, like when biwi winked and our sweet dulha sharmagaya. 😳 And I also loved the song selection; so perfect for these two!

EDIT: Also, I really like how Meenu handled these two -- much better than anything I've seen from the Maheshwaris. She gave Mishti credit for being magnanimous but also stopped Varsha from nullifying the positive effect that had. I liked that she called it Kuhu's adhikaar, not reducing it to her zidh. She made both girls feel valid and appreciated, and I don't know how long it'll last, but it's a relief compared to the Maheshwaris.
