Absolutely agree there are some really good writers there but some stories are horrific! They justify all kinds of abuse and romantisise rape of all things.

I have been reading learning to love again but I have huge issues with the characterisation of Shivaay and Annika and only continuing because curiosity gets the better of me. I understand where she is going with the story but I feel she has made a misstep with the characters. She is obviously trying to get the readers to sympathise with Annika's situation but there is a fine line between feeling empathy for a character that's been hard done by and presenting a completely pitiful character. In my opinion she has crossed that line. There are similar issues with Shivaay's character. I'm all up for a grey shaded Shivaay but he must at least have some redeeming qualities (from the start) to help you connect to him but here there are none. I understand that the redemption arc has only started but I am no longer able to root for him because I don't care for him.

She also has a habit of repeating and regurgitating a lot of points which slows down the pace and makes chapters unnecessarily long. This is just my POV. I appreciate like yourself a lot of people love her story.

I don't know if you remember me but I'm an old writer of the forum. My most loved stories are 'Raven and the Rambler' & 'The Enchanted Beast' if these two strike a bell. I couldn't help but ask you guys about an extremely unique story which isn't complete and I'm just making sure if the writer posted it somewhere else maybe on a blog or wattpad.
