I like your hypothesis. But I personally attribute his response as more into the massive male ego damage domain than anything else. He didn’t imagine Sana would turn serious about Sid and vice-versa.

Its not just hypothesis. It was some of his actions that i observed. But as promised, i am not getting into this topic.
