you know what’s really sad though? How forum members are like oh! So she had an affair with a married and now wants to ruin him! Like ewww.

The judgement for manvi is so palpable. Like ffs, has everyone forgotten how maya cowers from mj, how her brother AND father are DEAD.

What Maya did with rishi was wrong but frankly it was understandable. Sometimes I wonder if it is ingrained misogyny... where a Shahrukh from baazigar can have our sympathy but not a woman.

👏👏👏 Yeah why does female taking revenge from the main guy's evil family warrant judgment, yet when it's male characters like srk in baazigar taking revenge from main girl's family get admiration, wonder and enjoyment? MJ is a powerful and evil guy who cannot be brought to justice via law due to his influence and money, so manvi only saw this way fit.

Agree to everything!

These kind of men knows very well how to attract women towards them. Their charms makes you believe every bit of lie in the world. Manvi seems a little bit naive too and prolly her age was around 18-19!

1. The touch-me-not ice queens that breathe fire and have an invisible wall around them.

2. The virginal, soft, feminine girls with no idea of the world. The Red Riding Hoods as someone told me once in real life.

And still stands true even in these days of modernization, women empowerment. I have not heard of reverse story where the guy buys in the above reasons when he falls for a lady..

Frankly, I am not surprised or disappointed by the backstory. It is done to death, it is jaded , it is a common ....wait, it is a common truth of the relationship dynamics in our existing society. Every other day, we see BOTH men and women falling into and falling for these 'sob stories'. Men who are madly in love with women who are two timing them , using them, playing with them. Women who are doormats to men selling them their "problems", making promises that will never be kept, getting abused in every arena but still sticking by the man because of their pathetic idea of love and relationships. The problem is not that they are FOOLISH or have no self respect or dignity. The problem is one of the most basic human fibers that is both a boon and a curse - VULNERABILITY. Vulnerability not only makes you human, it also makes you stand in the line of fire of emotional manipulation. Once your vulnerability takes over you, remember, emotions are the most powerful force in the human system after the power of spirit, yes, even more than your mind ; the thinking power, the moral compass, the difference between right and wrong blurs. You have been preyed upon by emotional manipulation ; your spirit and your mind take a backseat. Suffering , self-invited is bound to follow.

I didn't watch the episode yet but reading your analysis, this backstory has been bludgeoned to death. I wish they could have given a powerful backstory for the beyhad nafrat of Maya. I guess I can watch the episode later or even skip it. I prefer my rose tinted glass story of Maya+Rudra story in the past several days.

Was Manvi at fault? Yes. Did she deserve what happened to her? No. Manvi's fault was buying a cock and bull story of her cunning boss, her fault was seeing Antara and the world through his eyes, her fault was looking for a fairytale in a wolf , her fault was giving in to MJ's psychological and emotional manipulation and buying all his lies. She made me think of those dolls in snow globes who believe the glass dome to be the whole world. More than MJ, her own stupidity ruined her life, but the amount of suffering she went through was not ok.

The questions is, is Rishi at faulty for Manvi (Maya)'s dumbness. She goes after MJ... okay, but to kill Rishi... please creators have mercy on us. There was discussion earlier that stated we the audience have been taken for granted and given crap stories to watch. Beyhad 2 was somewhat like a light (not at the end of the tunnel...that's a long way to go.) but now we get this...

Manvi was just a Red Riding Hood to MJ's wolf. And she is paying the price till date.

No wonder Rudra shines bright for Maya as a man, a partner, a lover and a companion.

A lily borne out of the mud... that would be Rudra, spawn of MJ

U told right.truth of a human is in his eyes.but girls like manvi doesn't understand that. There are also men like her. She doesn't question the story.she just buys it. Lack of world knowledge to some extent is fault of parents too for being overprotective of their kids which make them vulnerable to emotional manipulation.Manvi did a mistake and she and her family paid a huge price for it. She fell for the illusion and when reality stuck it was damn late.

In the first case, it is a challenge to win them and earn certificates for their misplaced ideas of masculinity and male domination. It's a HIGH to be re-convinced of your masculinity. In the second case, it is the classic hunter shade that gets a high out of destroying innocence as it gives satisfaction to the beast inside them, and gives them a sense of power. A tigress and a lamb are the kind of women that attract this variety of men like a moth to fire. Manvi was the lamb to MJ's wolf ( cannot insult lions and tigers. Wolf suits him just fine.)

Manvi was not just naive. She was outright dumb who had no FEEL or UNDERSTANDING of human nature, the world outside her cocoon as it is voiced by her mother in the flashbacks. I have encountered such men and women once or twice in my life, and trust me, their naivete bordering on outright foolishness makes you feel like slapping them and protecting them at the same time. They have such a limited vision and such a limited spectrum of worldly wisdom that you fear that that they are bound to make mistakes. You are like - Kaun se planet se aaye ho? The world doesn't run like that!

Coming to MJ, well, what a person feels for you is always in the eyes. MJ had no warmth, no compassion, no love and no tenderness in his whole persona. Throughout the flashback, he gives you those creepy feels and it is not because we know who and what MJ is. He looks anything but a man in love , or even attracted to a woman. His whole personality screams - Run baby, run. In the opposite direction. But maybe to see that, you need wisdom, maturity, believe your instincts , which unfortunately Manvi didn't have.

Manvi was just a Red Riding Hood to MJ's wolf. And she is paying the price till date.

Wonderful post...so true..woman are always sorrounded by manipulative, cunning and dirty men.for any woman, the first job and marriage are the life lessons to be learned.

Seeing mata reminds of myself a decade ago..how innocent, dumb and naive i was.but never allowed any men to take me for granted.my first job taught me a lesson that collegues and school buddies can never be the same . Childhood frnds are the best and they will never take you for granted.

My easy going nature, frankly speaking everything and anything took a toll on me. Now i think 1000 times before i speaking or act.

Even i am scared to smile at people.the world is so bad now.

Ussi collar ko to phad ke phekna hai. Even after 10 years, Mrityunjay remembers her name, just imagine. A man like him shouldn't remember. So you can imagine what impact Manvi a.k.a Maya left on him.

I am sure that mj lied that he did everything because of refusal of the flowers..he is obssessed for manvi.one and only lust and obssession.

They can never forget their obssession!
