I know it but it was a stupid way to make her stay back. perhaps MJ thinks Ananya is his only connection to rudra.

I think because he could get mayas information from her.. noone else knew Maya anyways.. although if they use their brain they can get CCTV footage from Ruan office or mayas building where she lived..
