Honestly, after watching the episode I felt asim didn't mean to acknowledge in wrong sense. May be Asim spoke to Rashmi about arhaan which was not shown. But he genuinely befriends Rashmi and vice versa.

I haven't seen today's Ep but if the issue is about bitching even Rashmi has bitched about Asim (-this is after Rasim happened) with Aarti! So calling out Asim for bitching when Rashmi has also done the same sounds hypocritical to me!
