And today he is taking the storyline of K3G and the values of SLB films and making a mush called Takht

K3G was his best movie! The nerve of him!

Sure it was cheesy and ott but it was a product of its time. And it was a massive hit, loved by millions and cherished as a classic. I've seen it a hundred times and still love watching it. It's got soo much repeat value.

Why does he shit on his best movies?!

I feel what bugs KJO is that he doesn't have a universally loved movie. Despite KKHH being an ATBB and K3G having massive footfalls, none of those movies are cherished like the ATBBs of the last 30 years like MPK, HAHK, DDLJ, 3I, BB, and the Bahubali films. These movies may not be the greatest films ever made, but are amongst the most loved films in Indian cinema history. KJo is neither here, nor there. He isn't cherished like Bhansali, Sooraj B, Raju Hirani, Aditya Chopra, nor do people appreciate him like they appreciate Anurag, Dibakar, Basu, etc. He has a sort of identity crisis, which is why he keeps dropping these foot-in-your-mouth remarks.

Mid life crisis. Disowning a good product that you produced decades back (when you were young) to please the current generation who would not embrace you anyway.

You guys dont see what he's doing?

He is purposely criticizing his own work because by doing so he is indirectly justifying that he is made to make films like Takht - this this i nothing but a ploy to get people to think that he's beyond KKHH and K3G.

It was soooo melodramatic & soooo syrupy that its hard to take the emotional sequences (50% of the film) seriously.

Everyone cried buckets , infect litres of tears as if some paani ka nalka been fit in their eyes, especially Jaya. 😆

Srk's usual hamming was at another level in this movie, specially in crying scenes he came across cringy & his acting seems total fake.
