Its just not consistent with the way Maya has been shown until now. Although she has been shown as being obsessed with revenge, there were several instances we saw her humanity such as traffic stop, with her mother and Rudra..

I don't have a problem with murder in a fictional tv show. But, If she kills Rishi, an innocent man, then it basically goes against the character they spent 2 months creating. She is supposed to be shrewd and cunning, yet humane and caring. It just doesn't make any sense.

Is she treating him like her unborn kid?
