Same here.. I guess we are so attached to the characters, it feels bad to see them like this.

It might be Maya's plan, she might even save him. Rishi might come to know of her plannings later, if her survives.. she might herself tell him the truth.

She was relieving her past. I also think she believes/knows Rishi is innocent but she has given herself completely to her plan. She is guilty and unhappy about Rishi too. She is broken and sad about what MJ turned her into. She has conscience but her pain is much much bigger than it and she is stuck somewhere. People with conscience can't do revenge guilt free.

The background in the tik tok video of Shivin felt like a setup of a godown or some locked place.. Usually such places shown during kidnap scenes in ITV😛
