Yeah they could also show it like she is a stranger and they don't share any past connection.. May be they wanted to show it like karma and if you do good, good will come to you .This show has been giving many references from MB , probably the Karma thing is what they wanted to offer in that particular scene

I know there is a thing of good karma coming back, but was it so important to rub it in our noses? We remember Maya helping and not being judgemental, hume message aise hi mil jaata

I don't think it was about good karma.. maybe they wanted to emphasize that they were related to her 10 ya 8 saal purana wala past. Sometimes I feel they ruin a good story (and logic) trying to put symbols here and there.

Agree, and Tannu pointed out that maybe they wanted to remind us of Shikhandi, but I feel that the scene would have stronger impact (and the karma message too) if they hadn't shown the fb.

Anyway, varying ideas, aur mere waale toh mars pe bounce karte hai hamesha😆

Going by yesterday's mud scene of Maya, the transformation from strong courageous Maya to the one crying for help was pretty drastic. She was strong till she didn't remember her past. The pool of mud also didn't look very fatal, if she didn't have her panic attacks, then she would have helped herself out of it. That is there.. but it's deeper than that, based on Sony's fortune cookie. Maya had been pregnant, we only saw her suffering of the past. We don't know who saved her then. Maybe that eunuch saved her that time also. So, they kind of showed us a half-truth.
