Chapter5

Rudra’s POV:

It is difficult to believe what type of person is hidden behind the cold facade of Mr. Mrityunjay Roy. How easily he tried to kill Maya. I can’t even think that we would have lost Maya today. She is pretty much shaken up. And today I got to know one thing, that MJ is responsible for Maya’s pain too. I shook my head and parked my car in the garage. I don’t want to enter in this house but I have to.

Rishi: Are you sure we doing right Bhai??

I looked at Rishi only to see him looking at me tensed. Yes!! I am sure that we are right. MJ is our father but we are not his sons, at least I am not.

Rudra: I know we are right Rish.

I told him as we both reached the front door. We both came inside and saw Mr. Roy standing on the bar. Damn this man!! Can’t he stay inside his room??q

Mrityunjay: Welcome back my sons.

He said turning around with a menacing smile and I saw Rishi flinching back slightly. I looked at Mr. Roy raising my eyebrows. What is he trying to do actually?? Does he really think that he can scare me by all this??

Mrityunjay: Let’s celebrate.

He said forwarding the drink glasses to us and I rolled my eyes at him.

Rishi: Why dad??

Rishi asked looking at Mr. Roy confused and I looked at him in disbelief. Has he gone mad??

Mrityunjay: Both of my sons are getting strong. It calls for a celebration. Right??

He said smirking and looked at me as if he is challenging me to have the drink with him. I smirked looking at him. I won today. And I would like to celebrate too.

Rudra: Absolutely right Mr. Roy.

I told him softly and took the glass in my hand. Rishi picked up the glass too and then looked at me confused. He was just going to drink from the glass but I grabbed his hand tightly. I saw MJ’s eyes flare in anger and I tried not to smile.

Rudra: Wait Rish!! It isn’t poisoned right??

I asked looking at Mr. Roy and he looked at me startled. I know no matter how lowlife he is, he would never kill Rishi or me, but he deserve all the taunts.

Aamir: Rudra!! He is your Dad. He can never harm you.

Aamir said and I looked at him almost amused. Is he even serious?? I am sure he knows what MJ did with me 10 years ago, and still he thinks that MJ loves me??

Rudra: Now THAT is the biggest joke of the year Aamir. He has already harmed me and destroyed me.

I told him in a firm tone and saw him took a deep breath in shock. I looked at Mr. Roy only to see him looking at me tensed. But yes I agree with Aamir here. Mrityunjay Roy can never harm me anymore. I won’t give him that power over me again. Never again.

Rudra: You are right though. He can never harm me anymore.

I said to Aamir glaring and he shook his head as if I am talking something nonsense. The nerve of this man.

Aamir: He loves you both.

He said softly and I chuckled looking at Rishi putting his glass down.

Rudra: His love is really toxic. Who knows when this love of his will kill Rishi as it had already killed me 10 years ago.

I glared at MJ and saw him gritting his teeth. Anyone can see his anger in his eyes.

Rishi: You are talking about Avni??

I stiffened hearing the name after so many years and that too from Rish’s mouth. How the hell does he know about her??

Rudra: What do you know about her?

I asked turning towards him abruptly and he took a deep breath looking at me nervously.

Rishi: Dad said that she was with you for your money and for the same money she chose Dad over you.

Rishi said and I felt my anger rising to a level that I felt like I will explode any minute. He is crossing all the limits of being a vile man. I clutched my glass tightly trying to control myself, but it is not possible.

Mrityunjay: RUDRA!!

I heard Mr. Roy shout and then I felt a prick in my hand. I looked down only to see the glass broken down and shards of glass pricking my skin. This pain is too less compared to the pain this sorry excuse of a father has given me.

Rudra: Wow Mr. Roy!! You are amazing. How easily you put blames of your wrong doings on others.

I snorted at him and everyone stiffened looking at me tensed. He portrayed Avni to be a monster and insinuated that I loved a monster. Isn’t that right by the way?? I did love a monster.

Rudra: He was right. I loved a monster and you know who that monster was??

I asked looking at Rish and he looked at me slightly nervous.

Rudra: My own father.

I snapped and left the living room. I can’t handle this madness anymore. I came inside my room and looked at the mirror only to see a loser in front of me. A loser who can’t even safeguard what was his. I remembered the last beautiful moment we spent in States. That day I never thought that my life was going to change for the worst.

Flashback

I sighed looking at the time frowning. Where is she??

Avni: Hey my Rudy boy!!

I heard her voice and turned to glare at her.She is whole 3 minutes late. She pulled my cheeks and I swatted her hands away.

Rudra: Avi, yaar stop it!!

I rubbed my cheeks frowning and she grinned looking at me.

Avni: You are too cute. You know I will never let you get away from me.

She said wounding her arms around my neck and I grabbed her waist pulling her towards me. I still can’t believe that anyone could love me like this.

Rudra: Same here. You know I am mad about you. And I will kill you before you even think of getting away from me.

I told her fake glaring and she laughed looking at me.

Avni: Okay!! Leave all this. When are you going to introduce me to your family??

She asked and I looked at her startled. What is she talking about?? She has already met my family then only she came here to States. That’s what Dad told me.

Rudra: Wait!! You already met my family.Right??

I asked and she looked at me stunned. She smiled at me but I am sure she is hiding something. But what??

Avni: Ya!! But not with you. And by the way today I am going back to India. My family is calling me back.

She said looking at me sadly and I sighed shaking my head at her. That’s what hurting me the most. I have to live away from her for 2 years more. Then only I could be with her for whole life. It’s dad’s ultimatum that I will get to marry my dream girl only if I completes my training here in US.

Rudra: How can you do this Avi??

I looked at her almost accusingly and she smiled stroking my hairs softly.

Avni: Rudra!! Stop being so possessive. You have only 2 years left. And you are coming to India for the party next month right??

She asked and I nodded at her smiling slightly. Hmm!! She is right. But till then I have to survive without her and it is going to be really difficult.

Rudra: Hmm. This will do I guess!!

I looked at her grinning mischievously and before she could understand anything I pulled her in my lap and kissed her with all my heart. She is my life. And very soon I will make her mine.

Rudra: I love you my Barbie doll.

I told her breaking the kiss and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

Avni: I love you too my Prince Charming.

She said softly and I hugged her tightly closing my eyes. I want to keep her with me forever but I know it’s not possible. She has to leave but she will be coming back in my life, for ever.

Flashback ends.

I never knew that was the last day of my happiness and my love. They both broke my trust to an extent that now I won’t be able to trust anyone else completely. I loved both of them the most in this world and they trampled my love beneath their feet mercilessly. I looked up at the mirror and saw Avni’s face in front of me and I felt sudden anger rising in me. Why did she do that??

Rudra: Where was that love when you ditched me??

I asked gritting my teeth and saw her smiling face in front of me. I felt too annoyed right now. She has to answer my questions.

Rudra: Where was that love when you were in the arms of my own father??

I said in a loud voice and clenched my fists tightly. I remembered the day when I saw her with Mr. Roy, in his arms.

Rudra: Where was that love when you laughed at me for loving you like a mad??

I shouted remembering the day when she made fun of me to even think that she would love a nobody like me.

Rudra: Where was that love when you kissed him in front of me??

I said as I saw her grinning in front of me. I just hate her to the core. I grabbed the perfume bottle and glared at her figure in the mirror. I don’t want to see her face. Never again!!

Rudra: WHERE WAS THAT LOVE AVNI?? WHERE WAS THAT LOVE??

I shouted throwing the perfume bottle at the mirror and slumped down on the floor feeling defeated. I felt tears coming out of my eyes but I made no effort to wipe them.

Rishi: Bhai!! Bhai what happened?? Are you okay??

I heard Rishi’s voice and looked up only to see him sitting in front of me tensed. I took a deep breath and got up from the floor wiping my tears.

Rudra: I am fine.

I nodded at him and saw him looking at me tensed. He looked around and then looked at me blinking away his tears.

Rishi: Bhai!!

He called me softly and I really want to cry on his shoulder. For once I want to cry like never before. I want to cry till all the hurt inside me subsides. But I know it’s not possible.

Rishi: What the hell!!

I heard Rishi swear loudly and I looked at him only to see him looking at his phone stunned. Now what happened to him?? I snatched the phone from him and what I saw baffled me to the core. What the hell is Maya Jaisingh planning?? I called Maya and she picked up the phone instantly.

Rudra: What is this Maya??

I asked gritting my teeth annoyed. I don’t want to do this. Not now, not ever.

Maya: You are going to announce our engagement in tomorrow’s party Rudra. I am sure he planned something for tomorrow’s party and I want to counterattack him even before he could attack any one of us.

She said and I sighed understanding her but still there is no need to marry each other.

Rudra: But why marriage??

I asked frustrated about all this. I can’t marry anyone.

Maya: Cause I have to come to that house to fight with that monster. I want to fight face to face now.

She said and I closed my eyes irritated. She wants to marry me just to use me as a pawn in her game. But here I am playing a game of my own too. And now I want to know why she chose me.

Rudra: Why me??

I asked gritting my teeth and heard her take a deep sigh.

Maya: You know the answer pretty well Rudra. He will go berserk on knowing that his arch nemesis is coming to his home.

She said and I shook my head at her. She is right. I know why she chose me. Cause I have my own agenda to fight with MJ Roy. I cut the call and looked at Rishi frustrated.

Rudra: Damn it!! This Maya has lost her mind.

I swore and threw the phone on the bed annoyed. I wished Rishi good night and then laid down on the bed to sleep. Its better if I try to give myself some rest. Cause next some days are going to be a disaster.

Maya’s POV:

I looked around finally relaxing as whole house is getting decorated. After 3 days I am going to writer Mrityunjay Roy’s destiny. Whatever happened last night will never be repeated again. I won’t give MJ a single chance to attack me. He will never find me vulnerable again.

Rajiv: What is all this Maya??

I turned around startled hearing Rajiv’s voice only to see him looking around confused. Well he has to be confused as he has no idea what I am planning. I know MJ will try to do something to control Rudra’s rebellion and what’s best way than to harm his mother. But this time MJ is going to get defeated and that too by his own sons.

Maya: Preparation of my wedding.

I told him shrugging and he looked at me shocked.

Rajiv: What!! Wedding?? With whom??

He asked almost in panic and I tried not to laugh at his expressions. Does he really think that I would marry anyone just like that??

Maya: Who else? My very own sweetheart!!

I told him winking and he looked at me totally confused. But before I could clarify anything to him I heard Mom’s voice.

Nandini: Maya!! You are getting married??

I turned around only to see Ma looking at me worried. I know she will be very happy to hear that I am marrying her favourite person.

Maya: Yes Ma!! Rudra and I are going to announce it today.

I told her and saw Rajiv looking at me with wide eyes. Ma hugged me tightly and I smiled stroking her hairs. At least someone is happy with this marriage. Cause I am sure Rudra must be cursing me to death.

Nandini: I am so happy for you. I will do all the preparations here.

She said looking at me excited and I nodded at her. She ran away to god knows where and I turned around only to see Rajiv looking at me confused. Well!! This time the fight will be inside Roy household.

Maya: I am coming MJ, to your house as your daughter-in-law.

I said smirking and saw Rajiv sighing tensed.I shook my head and sat down on the couch looking at the dress designs.

Rajiv: Maya!!

I looked up only to see Rajiv looking at me seriously. Now what happened to this person?? I raised my eyebrows indicating him to continue and he looked at me curiously.

Rajiv: Are you going to wear black in your wedding too??

He asked and I closed my eyes feeling irritated beyond belief. I will kill him some day.

Maya: Shut up!!

I snapped at him and he chuckled looking at my face. Very soon I am going to attain another identity. I am going to become Mrs. Maya Rudra Roy. Now I will attain the color red. Red, the color of danger, the colorr of blood and the colorr of my vermilion.

Rishi’s POV:

I looked at my wine glass frowning. I never thought I would see Dad like that. He is not the Dad I always knew. He is the man whom Bhai hates with a passion. Can he really destroy his own son?? But why would Bhai lie about Dad?? Bhai’s pain is real and what about Maya?? She has suffered a lot, that I can see but what Dad did with her? I am too confused and no one is ready to tell me anything. How can they even think that I can chose sides without knowing everything?

Mrityunjay: Everything alright Rishi??

I looked beside me startled hearing Dad’s voice. When did he came??

Rishi: Yes dad. Everything is good.

I told him smiling slightly and drank from my glass abruptly. He nodded and smiled at me but I don’t know why his smile is looking totally fake. I shook my head and looked ahead only to get the shock of my life. What the hell!!

Rishi: Ankit!! What are you doing here??

I asked getting up from my seat confused. He smiled and hugged me and I tried not to show my doubt on him. He was the one who told me about Maya last night but he was nowhere around. And how the hell did he knew about Maya?

Ankit: Uncle called me for something.

He said looking at Dad smiling and I took a deep breath gritting my teeth as I saw both of them moving towards Dad’s study. This is it. I won’t be in dark anymore. I have to know what’s going on. I came to Dad’s study and tried to hear what they all are talking about.

Mrityunjay: You are going to help us in finding that girl.

Dad said looking at Ankit seriously and I stiffened realizing he is talking about Maya. If Dad had harmed Maya in past then I am sure he knows how she looks.

Ankit: Maya??

Ankit asked looking at Dad smirking and I realized he is the one who betrayed us. Maya was right. I should never have trusted this back stabber.

Mrityunjay: Yes. He is a sketch artist. And you will guide him in drawing Maya’s sketch.

Dad said indicating towards another man who is standing beside Dad. Damn it!! I can’t let this happen.

Ankit: Okay Uncle.

Ankit nodded and started instructing the artist. I can see Maya’s face being sketched. Dad sat on the couch along with Aamir Uncle and I tried to think what I can do. Finally after some time the sketch got completed and I saw Ankit and the artist leaving the study. I looked ahead only to see Dad and Aamir Uncle coming towards the easel. I can’t let this happen. This has to stop. I opened the door and they both looked at me startled.

Rishi: Dad!!

I came inside and moved towards the easel. I looked at Dad nervously.

Rishi: I....I am sorry for whatever happened yesterday. It won’t happen again. Ever.

I told him and they both looked at me smiling slightly. I took out the glue that I took from the side table and opened its cap. Its time for some action.

Mrityunjay: Good for you.

Dad nodded looking at me. I gulped and looked at both of them tensed. I tried to act as if I am swooning and saw them looking at me attentively. I grabbed the powder and fell on the easel along with glue and I am sure the powder is fully spread on the easel now. I looked down slightly opening my eyes to see Maya’s face is covered with powder and now itis unrecognizable.

Aamir: Rishi!!

I heard Aamir Uncle’s voice and closed my eyes again.

Mrityunjay: Rishi what’s wrong?? Rishi get up. Rishi!!

I heard Dad’s tensed voice and felt him slapping my face lightly to make me get up.

Mrityunjay: Aamir put him on the couch. Fast.

Dad shouted at Aamir Uncle and then I felt myself getting lifted up from the floor. I know it is difficult to fool such experienced men but I am not a child. I has always been an ace actor since my school days.

They sprinkled water on my face and I opened my eyes frowning. I tried to sit and acted as if I am weak.

Mrityunjay: What happened??

Dad asked looking at me worried. I took a deep breath and looked down nervously.

Rishi: Actually I....I wanted to say sorry to you. And I forgot to have food. I am having a really bad headache Dad.

I told him tensed and he looked at me glaring slightly.

Mrityunjay: Aamir!! Arrange for his food.

He ordered Aamir Uncle and he left from the study room.

Mrityunjay: You are an idiot Rishi.

Dad said hitting my head lightly and I smiled at him.

Rishi: I am sorry Dad. You have to endure so much because of me.

I told him with a sorry face and he smiled nodding at me.

Mrityunjay: You are my son.

He said grabbing my shoulders almost proudly and I nodded at him. Yes!! Indeed!! I am his son. He is back stabbing everyone and now I am learning this art too.

Rishi: You are right Dad. I am your son.

I told him smiling slightly. Before Dad could say anything else Aamir Uncle came inside bringing the tray with him.

Mrityunjay: Have your food now. Okay??

He said to me smiling and I nodded at him. I looked curiously as Dad moved towards the fallen easel again. He picked it up then looked at it tensed. I looked down eating the food.

Mrityunjay: Damn it!!

I heard Dad swore and tried not to smile at his frustration. He tried to bring out Maya’s information by deceit and I won’t let that happen. Now its time to deal with another back stabber, i.e., my so called best friend, Ankit.

Aamir: MJ!! What’s wrong??

Aamir Uncle said moving towards where Dad is standing.

Mrityunjay: That idiot sketch artist. Just look at this sketch.

Dad said looking at the sketch irritated and I sighed finally relaxing.

Aamir: It’s ruined sir.

Aamir said looking at Dad tensed and I can see Dad’s anger on his face. I looked at my phone startled as it started ringing all of a sudden. I looked at the caller ID and then only I remembered what we talked today morning.

Rishi: Yes Bhai I am coming.

I said picking up the call and then cut the call. I don’t want to talk to Bhai right now cause I know I will be spilling the beans by just hearing his voice. And I want to tell him everything when I meet him.

Mrityunjay: Where are you going?

Dad asked as soon as I got up from the couch. Now what to tell him?? Damn!!

Rishi: For shopping Dad. Actually Bhai and I are going to purchase some suits for today’s party.

I told him shrugging as it’s the truth. But I just omitted the major truth. That this shopping is not for the foundation’s day party, in fact this shopping is for Bhai’s engagement party.

Mrityunjay: Rudra is actually coming??

Dad asked looking at me almost excited. Dad!! You are going to regret calling Bhai in the party that too big time.

Rishi: Yes Dad. He is!! In fact he is excited about the party.

I told him smiling and he looked at me startled. Bhai hates this party and for him to be excited for this party means a miracle.

Mrityunjay: Strange!!

Dad said and I almost ran out of the study room. Now its time to handle Ankit, then only I will meet Bhai and Maya. This Ankit will repent big time.

Rudra’s POV:

Honestly!! I am irritated right now. I really don’t want to marry as for me marriage is something very special. And this marriage is just to destroy Mrityunjay Roy.

Rishi: Are you sure you want to do this Maya?

I heard Rishi’s voice and I turned around only to see Rishi and Maya coming towards where I am standing. We all came to the boutique to purchase our attires. I saw Maya glaring at Rishi and I tried not to laugh at Rishi’s expressions. She is not that scary. He is behaving as if she will eat him alive.

Rishi: I mean you are scared of Dad. Will you be able to stand in front of him without panicking?

He asked and I looked at Maya seriously. Rishi’s query actually makes sense. What if Maya get scared in front of Dad again??

Maya: I am fine Rishi. I am sure till now MJ knows about how I look.

Maya said sighing sadly and I saw Rishi shaking his head in a no. Now what is this??

Rishi: He doesn’t.

Rishi said and I looked at him startled. How come is it possible??

Maya: He doesn’t??

Maya asked looking at Rishi confused and he smirked looking at both of us.

Rishi: No!!

He winked and then started telling us how his friend betrayed him and how he stopped Mr. Roy to see Maya’s sketch. Not bad!! My brother is actually growing up.

Rudra: Thanks Rish.

I patted his back and he smiled nodding at me.

Rishi: He won’t know Maya till it’s already late. Once you announce about this relationship then I am sure Dad won’t do anything.

He said looking at us tensed and I shook my head at him. He doesn’t know his Dad as much as I do. MJ can do anything to win.

Maya: He will try his best but this time I am one step ahead of him.

Maya said and I looked at her confused. What is going on in her head now?? She turned towards me and smirked at me.

Maya: We will be getting married in next 3 days.

She said and I looked at her perplexed. Is she even sane?? What the hell!!

Rudra: What!! Maya have you lost your mind??

I asked looking at her with wide eyes. She has gone mad for sure. 3 days?? Is she even serious??

Maya: I won’t give MJ any time to do anything. We are getting engaged today only.

She said and I narrowed my eyes at her. Engagement?? Without rings?? Is it possible??

Rudra: We don’t have rings Maya.

I told her in a matter of fact voice and she smiled looking at me.

Maya: Then let’s purchase it. What’s the big deal??

She shrugged and I looked at her tensed. I really don’t want to do this. I looked at both Maya and Rishi only to see both of them looking at me seriously. Damn!!

Rudra: Alright!!

I threw my hands in the air exasperated and started moving towards the men’s section. Its time we do something productive rather than just talking.

Finally after almost 2 hours we are finished with our shopping along with the rings. We came out of the jeweller’s shop only to hear Rishi’s phone ringing.

Rishi: Yes Dad!!

He said looking at me tensed and I blinked my eyes at him.

Rishi: We are coming back in one hour dad.

He said as we are pretty far away from our home. And Maya’s home is near this place.

Rishi: Okay!!

He said and cut the call and I looked at him curiously. No what does that MJ want??

Rishi: He is calling us back. We have a party to host.

Rishi said shrugging and I rolled my eyes at him. I don’t need to host that party. At least not now.

Rudra: You go Rishi. I will be making an entrance with my fiancée.

I told him smirking and he sighed nodding at me. I know he is trying to come to terms with the fact that Maya doesn’t love him and I am really proud of him as he is trying to handle himself amidst so much chaos.

Rishi: Till then can I announce your engagement??

He asked smirking slightly and I tried not tolaugh at him.

Rudra: With pleasure. And yes take Rajivwith you.

I told him and he nodded at me grinning. I just hope we can do whatever we thought cause MJ is pretty unpredictable. We all reached Maya’s apartment and saw Rajiv standing there nervous. We all went to get ready for the party too.

After almost half an hour Rishi and Rajiv went away and I sat down on the couch frowning. I don’t know why but it feels as if Rajiv’s role in Maya’s life is much more than a mere business manager. Something is still hidden regarding this Rajiv. I sighed and closed my eyes waiting for Maya to come. After some time I heard someone’s footsteps and turned around only to see Maya coming towards me in a blood red gown. She is looking gorgeous and dangerous too. I got up from the couch and looked at her curiously.

Rudra: This Rajiv is not just a business manager right??

I asked and she looked at me smiling slightly. I knew it.

Rudra: What else did he do??

I asked and she indicated me to follow her. We both reached to a room which is a home theatre and I saw her switching on the TV. I looked ahead startled as I saw the video of the party. It looks like someone is filming all this secretly. Wait!! Rajiv??

Rudra: He is your informer??

I asked looking at Maya startled while she just smiled looking ahead at the screen.

Maya: He is!!

She nodded and I took a deep breath trying to stable my thoughts. I looked ahead as I saw the camera moving towards Mr. Roy and Aamir.

Rishi: Dad!! This is Rajiv. You know he is...

I heard Rishi’s voice and saw Mrityunjay Roy smirking at the person in front of him, this time it has to be Rajiv.

Mrityunjay: Rudra’s investor. I know.

Mr. Roy nodded his head at Rishi smiling and I shook my head as I saw Rishi’s nervous smile.

Rajiv: Hello MJ!!

I heard Rajiv’s voice and saw a hand forwarding towards MJ. I gritted my teeth looking at them.

Mrityunjay: Hi Rajiv! Rishi could you give us few minutes?? I want to thank him for helping Rudra.

Mr. Roy said smiling too sweetly at Rishi and I saw Rishi flinching slightly.

Rishi: Sure Dad.

He nodded and came towards the camera or I can say Rajiv. He kept his hand on Rajiv’s shoulder.

Rishi: Call me!!

I heard Rishi’s voice clearly and I realized he said that to Rajiv only.

Mrityunjay: Come Rajiv.

I saw the party scene fading and flinched when I saw them entering the study room. I looked at Maya only to see her glaring atthe screen in front of her. I just hope this man don’t do anything bad to Rajiv.

Mrityunjay: Do you really think that you could try and steal Rudra away from me??

I saw Mr. Roy’s furious expressions and shook my head at him. Too predictable. I knew he would behave like this.

Rajiv: I was just helping you MJ.

I heard Rajiv’s nervous voice and I stiffened looking ahead with full concentration. What the hell is he saying? He was helping MJ?? I looked at Maya only to see her smiling slightly as Mr. Roy’s expressions changed from annoyed to confused.

Rajiv: You know very well that I can’t afford to be in your hit list. And that’s why I thought to help Rudra so that I can help you. And now I can actually bring Rudra close to you.

Rajiv said and I saw MJ looking at Rajiv as if he is trying to find any type of foul play in Rajiv’s words.

Mrityunjay: How would you do that??

He asked sitting on the couch in front of Rajiv along with Aamir and I looked ahead curious.

He said and I closed my eyes trying not to react but my blood boils whenever I see this man in front of me. And now he is trying to manipulate Rajiv just to gain control of one thing that I can call mine with all rights.

Mrityunjay: So you mean you are trying to offer a partnership to me??

Mr. Roy said smirking at Rajiv and I clenched my fists trying to control my anger. It would do me no good to show anger right now.

Rajiv: Indeed I am.

I heard Rajiv’s voice and I got up from the couch gritting my teeth. This is the limit now. How the hell can Rajiv agree with all this??

Rudra: I am gonna kill this man today only.

I said looking ahead with an intent of murder and flinched when I felt someone’s hand on my shoulder.

Maya: Relax Rudra. Rajiv is just playing his part. MJ will never get any share in your company.

Maya said smiling slightly and I shook my head at her. Doesn’t she know how vile my father can get??

Rudra: This is MJ we are talking about Maya.

I told her and her smile wiped off from her face and a determined expression came on her face.

Maya: I know. And that’s why I am prepared.

She said and I looked at her curiously. Looks like she thought about this plan of hers thoroughly.

Mrityunjay: Then let’s make a deal. You will transfer all your shares in my name. I will prepare the papers.

Mr. Roy said smiling at Rajiv wickedly.

Rajiv: Deal!!

I heard Rajiv’s voice and shook my head tensed. I just hope Maya knows what she is doing. She is throwing raw meat infront of a hungry lion and is hoping that he won’t pounce?? This is almost next to impossible. I saw the camera moving away from Mr. Roy and I knew that Rajiv left the study room. But still we can clearly see both MJ and Aamir. Looks like he is hiding somewhere to shoot all this.

Aamir: Don’t you think MJ that he is being too easy??

I heard Aamir say and I stand in front of the screen beside Maya.

Mrityunjay: He is a scared man Aamir. I would say he is intelligent though.

Mr. Roy looked at Aamir smirking and I narrowed my eyes at the screen. Is he even serious??

Mrityunjay: Anyways!! Did you find how she looks??

Mr. Roy asked getting up from the couch and I saw Maya stiffen slightly. Thank god Rishi had the gall to spoil Maya’s sketch.

Aamir: No MJ!! That sketch was totally destroyed and now Ankit is missing.

Aamir said tensed and I looked ahead startled. I can see Maya is surprised too. I can’t believe this. Rishi actually made Ankit disappear and that too like a pro. Even Aamir couldn’t find him. What did he do with Ankit?

Mrityunjay: What the!! How??

I heard Mr. Roy’s startled voice and I tried not to laugh at his face. This is nothing in front of the shock I am going to give him today.

Maya: Not bad Rishi. I am impressed.

I heard Maya and looked at her smirking slightly. Rishi was right though. He is a grown up now. And intelligent too.

Rudra: He is my brother. What else can you expect from him?

I told her grinning and she rolled her eyes at me. Wait!! Maya?? Rolling her eyes?? This is really strange. I saw the camera moving and next we are seeing the party again. After some time I saw MJ and Aamir coming downstairs and that too towards Rishi.

Mrityunjay: Rishi!! Where is Rudra??

Mr. Roy asked and I looked at Maya amused. So!! He didn’t forget his own son?? For a second I thought he forgot all about me.

Rishi: He is with someone very special.

Rishi said smiling almost evilly and I tried not to burst out laughing at his sentence. Indeed very special.

Mrityunjay: He is coming right?

Mr. Roy asked looking at Rishi slightlynervous. Wow!! Nervous?? And Mrityunjay Roy?? Now this is what we call really weird. What is this man planning??

Rishi: Yes!! He will come with her.

Rishi said nodding his head in yes and I saw Mr. Roy frowning at Rish.

Mrityunjay: Ananya as usual. But wait!! She is already here.

He looked at Rish tensed and confused. I think it’s time for Maya to meet my family.

Maya: Its time to give him a heart attack Rudra.

I heard Maya and turned to look at her smirking. She is right!!

Rudra: Let’s go then.

I told her winking and she switched off the TV screen. It’s show time now. Get ready to meet your destruction head on, Mr.Mrityunjay Roy.

Antara’s POV:

I don’t know why but I am feeling really scared about today’s party. Rudra is going to be here and in last 10 years thisis the first time that Rudra is attending this party that too by his own will. I took a deep breath and moved towards my younger son.

Antara: Rishi!! How long will he take??

I asked and saw Rishi smiling at me. For a second his smile felt like he knew something that is too important for our family. But what?? Or am I hallucinating again??

Rishi: Relax Mom. He is coming with a surprise. It will take time.

He said winking and I stiffened thinking about the unknown. What surprise is he talking about?? I looked towards the door only to see Rudra entering the party hall and I took a deep breath finally relaxing. But wait!! Rishi said that he is coming with someone special but he is alone. What is going on??

Antara: He is here.

I whispered and saw all the reporters surround him. And why not?? He is one of the most eligible bachelors in India. A young entrepreneur son of a business magnate. One who is trying to make his own name and is finally getting success. I am really happy and proud of my son.

Reporter: Sir!! You are here finally. We have heard that Mr. Mrityunjay Roy is going to announce something really important today. Do you have any idea about it??

I looked at MJ tensed. God knows what’s going on in his wicked mind now. I saw him looking at Rudra smiling slightly but Rudra has equally evil expressions on his face. I just hope he doesn’t make a spectacle today.

Rudra: No!! I don’t know about his surprise. But today I am going to give you all a surprise too.

He said and I smiled looking at him. It’s good that Rudra is going to do something on this day that gives him happiness. Now he would have the reason to celebrate this day every year.

Antara: Rudra!!

I called his name and saw him coming towards me with a beautiful smile on his face.

Rudra: How are you Mom??

He said hugging me tightly and I sighed stroking his hairs softly. He deserve the best in everything. And I am sure he would get it. After all he is MJ’s son.

Antara: I am good. What is this surprise you were talking about??

I asked breaking the hug and he grinned looking at me. Something is definitely going on in this boy’s head for sure.

Rudra: You heard it right Mom. Today is double celebration. This party is founder’s day party but from now on this party will be telling everyone about my happiness.

He said too excited to be true and I frowned looking at him. What is he going to do??

Mrityunjay: What are you talking about Rudra??

I heard MJ’s voice and saw Rudra stiffening visibly. God knows what has happened between both of them that Rudra started hating his Dad to this extent.

Rudra: Just wait for a while......Dad!! This will be the biggest surprise for you.

Rudra looked at MJ smirking and I wincedlooking at MJ’s expression. I don’t want anything bad to happen in this party. Only god can save us from all this now.

Maya’s POV:

I smirked looking ahead realizing it’s time to make an entrance in the enemy’s den. I saw Rudra coming to the centre stage and I looked ahead trying to control my nerves. Yes!! I hate MJ, I am scared of him, but I have Rudra here with me and nothing could happen in front of this many people. MJ loves his image too much.

Rudra: Hello everyone!!

Rudra said and everyone started looking at him curiously. I saw all the reporters clicking pictures of Rudra and they started covering him.

Rudra: Today is a very special day for me. On this day my Dad established his company 30 years ago and now his company is completing 30 successful years. Now after 30 years he is one of the most successful businessmen of India.

Rudra started saying and I saw a proud smile on MJ’s face. Oh dear!! You had no idea how strong blow Rudra is going to give you Mr. Mrityunjay Roy.

Rudra: And now I am going to announce about my happiness today. Today is just not the founder’s party. I am getting engaged today to the woman of my dreams.

He said and all of a sudden there is pin drop silence in the party hall. I felt a strange satisfaction seeing the stunned expressions on Roy’s faces.

Mrityunjay: WHAT!!

The silence was broken by MJ’s voice and everyone started whispering to each other.

Reporter: Sir are you serious??

One of the reporters asked looking at Rudra curiously. Now is the time Rudra.

Rudra: Why would I joke about all this?? Yes!! I am getting engaged today.

Rudra said and I saw MJ looking at Rudra annoyed.

Reporter: Who is the girl sir??

Another reporter asked and I looked ahead ready to enter the scene.

Rudra: This girl is not only my dream girl but every single person here wants to meet her. Please welcome, my love and my would be wife.

Rudra said in a strong voice and I moved towards the entrance. I can see everyone’s back towards me. Everyone is looking at Rudra curiously. I saw Rudra eyes looking at me and I blinked my eyes in a yes. It’s time to face my worst fears and to make these Roys meet their worst fears.

Rudra: Miss Maya Jaisingh!!

He shouted and indicated towards me and everyone dispersed making a way for me. I smiled looking at Rudra while entering the hall and stood beside him. As soon as I reached him I heardseveral gasps and I took a deep breath trying to maintain my calm.

Mrityunjay: Rudra!!

I heard MJ’s warning voice and I clenched my fists tightly. I felt Rudra’s hand grabbing mine and I looked at him trying to gain my strength. He blinked his eyes reassuringly and I nodded at him smiling. This is my fight and I can’t be weak here.

Rudra: Welcome her........Dad!!

Rudra said in almost a whisper but anyone could sense warning behind Rudra’s tone.

Mrityunjay: Stop him Rishi.

I heard MJ’s whispered voice again and I tried not to laugh at him.

Rishi: What can I do Dad?? You know Bhai loves her. And she loves Bhai too.

I heard Rishi’s forlorn voice and heard a chuckle from beside me. I looked at Rudra only to see him trying to control his laugh.

Reporter: Maya Jaisingh?? You mean she is the star writer Maya Jaisingh whom you signed for next 3 years??

Another reporter asked and we both looked ahead with a brilliant smile on our faces as everyone else looked shocked.

Rudra: Yes!! She is the Maya Jaisingh whose fans were dying to meet her.

Rudra said winking and I saw every single camera moving towards me.

Reporter: Mam!! You are fabulous.

One reporter said and I tried not to smirk at the pale faces of the Roys.

Maya: Thank you so much.

I nodded at him and saw Ananya marching towards us annoyed.

Ananya: Rudra!!

She put her hand on Rudra’s arm and I felt really awkward by her gesture. She knows that we are announcing our engagement yet she is behaving as if she has all the rights on Rudra. She dragged Rudra away from the hall and I clenched my fists feeling annoyed. She can’t just pull Rudra away as if she is his everything.

Maya: Excuse me!!

I nodded at everyone and moved towards the room I saw them moving to. It’s time Ananya understood that Rudra is going to get married now and Maya doesn’t share.

Ananya: What is all this nonsense?

I heard Ananya asking and looked ahead only to see Rudra looking at Ananya bored. I just hope he doesn’t share everything with her.

Rudra: What are you talking about Anu?

He said looking at her as if he has no idea what she is talking about.

Ananya: You are getting engaged to Maya?

Ananya asked looking at Rudra irritated. Anyone will say that she is his girlfriend whom he ditched but the truth is he never loved her as a lover. He is just her friend.

Rudra: No Anu. I am not getting engaged to Maya.

Rudra said and I looked at her startled. I can see Ananya started to smile but then Rudra sighed shaking his head.

Rudra: I am getting married to her. In next 3 days.

Rudra said and all the smile wiped off from Ananya’s face.

Ananya: What type of madness is this Rudra.

Ananya asked glaring at Rudra and his eyes hardened to a degree that Ananya flinched back looking at him.

Rudra: You are right Anu. This is madness. I am mad about her. So!! I am going to ensnare her before anyone else can.

He said to Ananya winking and I shook my head at him. He is a good actor.

Ananya: But Rudra I love you and....

She started saying in a panicked voice but before she could complete her sentence Rudra interrupted her in between.

Rudra: And I don’t.

He said looking at Ananya firmly and I sighed realizing I don’t need to interfere here. Rudra will keep Ananya in her place.

Ananya: But Rudra...

She was just going to say something else and I had enough of this nonsense now.

Maya: Rudra!! It’s time.

I said and saw Ananya stiffening. Rudra nodded looking at me and then we both came out to the party hall. It’s time to take first step to enter Roy’s household.

I looked ahead in disbelief. How is this possible?? How can she be back?? And that too as Rudra’s love?? How the hell can he love this girl?? That’s why her voice was this familiar. Damn it!! I can’t let this happen. I saw Rishi taking mic in his hand and I took a deep breath dreading whatever is happening. This is not true.

Rishi: Finally it’s time for my brother and my would be sister-in-law to exchange rings. So please welcome them on thecentre stage.

Rishi said grinning and I tried not to flinchat him. What the hell is this boy doing?? Maya was his girlfriend, then how can he be so cool with his brother marrying his own girlfriend??

Both Rudra and Maya came on the stage and Rishi gave Rudra his ring while Rajiv forwarded Maya’s ring to her. I gritted my teeth feeling like killing someone as I saw them exchanging rings. Everyone started clapping and I have to fake a smile for everyone’s benefit. I thought I would shock Rudra and make him marry Ananya but here everything is going down the drain.

Rishi grabbed Rudra’s hands and pulled him towards the piano while Rudra looked at him stunned. I know why. Rudra didn’t play piano since last 10 years. I saw him taking a deep breath and he sat on the stool looking ahead at Maya. She nodded and I heard Rudra’s first tune after so many years.

I said looking at Rishi pointedly and he flinched slightly but then he looked ahead where Rudra and Maya are standing talking to Rajiv.

Rishi: I didn’t love her. I was just interested in her cause she is very hot. But when I got to know that she was just trying to make Bhai notice her I was very angry at her.

Rishi said as if he is lost in his thoughts. If he was angry at her then how come he is supporting Rudra now?? What happened that changed his mind??

Mrityunjay: What did you do??

I asked looking at him curiously. He looked at me with a blank face for some time but then he smiled looking at me. What was he thinking??

Rishi: I confronted her. And then when she told me that she loves Bhai and is trying to gain his attention through me I was like what the hell dude! Who does that?? And then I saw Bhai’s expressions whenever she came close to me, and then I understood that Bhai is trying to deny his feelings because of his past. So I helped her in getting her love by posing as her boyfriend.

I looked at Rishi stunned hearing his explanation. How is this possible?? All this time Rishi was acting??

Mrityunjay: You were acting all the while??

I asked almost glaring at him and he nodded at me and then went towards Rudra and Maya. He seems genuinely happy though. This is too confusing now.

Rishi: Congratulations!!

Rishi shouted and hugged Rudra and that Maya looked at both of them smiling.

Maya: Thanks Rishi. Without you this would not have been possible.

She said as soon as Rishi broke the hug and I tried not to shout at this girl. She is an imposter for sure. Who is she?? How can she have the exact same face as HER??

Rishi winked at her and she looked smiling slightly. I am scared for the first time in my life. If the real truth came in front of Rudra then he will kill me with his bare hands without thinking about his mother for sure. I can’t let this happen.

Maya said and Ma nodded at her smiling. We can’t say or do anything in front of the media.

Rishi: My mom. Mrs. Antara Mrityunjay Roy.

Rishi said and I saw Antara gasp looking at that girl’s face.

Maya said smiling at Antara and I gritted my teeth seeing Antara gulping slightly.

He said smiling at me and I nodded at Rishi smiling. I have to figure out this girl before she harms someone from my family.

Maya: I have met him yesterday. It is interesting that how much a Dad loves his children. I never thought that Mrityunjay Roy is such a weak person who back stabs his own sons. That too when he himself had no idea about the truth.

She said smirking at me and I flinched moving back slightly. What the hell!! I glared at her but she just looked at me as if she is amused by my anger. She left with Rudra and Rishi and I tried to control my anger. She can’t be the same girl. SHE has always been frightened infront of me but this girl doesn’t has an ounce of fear in her.

Aamir: Do you think she is the same girl??

I heard Aamir’s voice and looked ahead only to see Rudra and Rishi talking to that girl smiling.

Mrityunjay: I don’t think so. That girl was too innocent and coward. And she died that day. She can never comeback.

I told Aamir what I thought, but this girl is not harmless. I can see hatred in her eyes. She is here for something and we have to find that before she cause any harm to us.

Aamir: But is it possible to have exact same face??

Aamir asked and I frowned looking at him. That’s what is bothering me. How can two people look exactly same??

Maya: Ananya!! Thank you so much.

I heard Maya’s voice and I looked at them startled. Why is she thanking Ananya?? Don’t tell me Ananya helped her too. She loves Rudra. Why would she help Maya?

Ananya: Why??

Ananya asked looking at Maya suspiciously.

Maya: Because of you only Rudra confessed that he loves me.

She said and Ananya looked at Maya stunned. I can see Ananya has no idea what this Maya is talking about.

Rudra: Exactly!! If you didn’t make me realize about my love then I would have lost Maya. So, thank you!!

Rudra said hugging Ananya and I can see her smiling at Maya. Wow!! Now she is accepting this relationship too?? And that too without fighting?? This is just great!!

I heard Mrityunjay’s voice and shook my head at him smiling slightly. Is he really my son?? He is losing his charm now.

Dadi: Keep telling yourself that and you will be 6 feet under before than you can even guess.

I told him and he stiffened glaring at me. Its time to test how much this girl actually loves Rudra. Or all of this is just a ruse?? I smiled slightly looking at the feelings in both of their eyes. What a fate this grandson of mine has. His father has snatched what he desired 10 years ago and now his father will again try to snatch what he desires now. I just hope this time the girl is strong enough to save my grandson.

They both concluded their performance with a small dip and everyone applauded them. Rudra looked at me wiggling his eyebrows and I showed a thumbs up to him. He nodded at me and all the reporters surrounded him for the last time before leaving the party.

Reporter: Many congratulations to you Sir!!

One of the reporter said and I saw Rishi showing his glass of wine in salutation while Rudra just rolled his eyes at him.

Rudra: Thank you so much for getting involved in our happiness.

Rudra said to all the reporters smiling and I saw him grabbing Maya’s hand while she just looked at him as if she is trying to search something in his eyes.

Reporter: So when are you going to tie the knot??

Another reporter asked and I looked at him curiously. I am sure they must have planned something as they both are looking at each other smirking. Now that I think even my other grandson, Rishi, is looking pretty smug. As if he knows something that we don’t.

Rudra: We are getting married after 3 days.

Rudra said grinning and I looked at him shocked. 3 days?? Has this boy gone mad?? What is he doing? And why? I looked at Mrityunjay tensed only to see him looking at Rudra almost panicked.

Reporter: Why so soon??

One of the reporters asked looking at Rudra confused and both Rudra and Maya smiled looking at each other.

Rudra: You really think I would wait for even a second before tying Maya Jaisingh to me?? I want her here with me as soon as possible.

He said smiling at Maya and she looked down with a beautiful smile on her face. But still my heart is not ready to believe that all this is real. Love of 10 years cannot fade away in just 10 days. I know Rudra still loves Avni, then why is he marrying Maya??

Reporter: Well then congratulations for your new life. We really are very happy for you.

One of the reporters said and they all started congratulating Rudra and Maya enthusiastically. For them this marriage will be the marriage of the decade. After all their internationally acclaimed writer is going to marry Roy’s elder son who has always been evasive about marriage.

Everyone left the party and I turned around only to see Mrityunjay sitting on the bar tensed.

Mrityunjay: You should have told us before.

Mrityunjay looked at Rudra almost furious but Rudra just rolled his eyes shaking his head. Sometimes I feel Rudra goes overboard with Mrityunjay. No matter what Mrityunjay did, he is Rudra’s dad. And Rudra always forgets his limits while dealing with his Dad. But only Rudra is able to counterattack Mrityunjay, and Mrityunjay knows that very well.

Rudra: I don’t want to repeat my mistake. Dad!!

Rudra said looking at Mrityunjay in a derisive tone and I saw Mrityunjay took in a deep breath glaring at Rudra. Why does he even try when he knows there will be no effect of his glare on Rudra?? Idiot man!! Can’t understand still that Rudra Roy can never be controlled by anyone.

Rudra’s POV:

I looked at Maya only to see her fidgeting slightly. I know she has already endured my family for more than 4 hours and that is enough for her for one day. But still she didn’t met my favourite member of this house. My companion and my baby.

Rudra: Anyways!! Maya you still doesn’t meet my favorite family member.

I told her grinning and she looked at me confused.

Maya: Who ??

She asked and I smirked at her before shouting out his name loudly.

Rudra: SULTAN!!

I shouted and he came running and barking towards us. Maya grinned looking at my dog and he started licking Maya’s hands. I saw Anu narrowing her eyes at Sultan and I tried not to laugh at her face. Anu hated Sultan cause she is scared of dogs and Sultan hated Anu cause she always tried to send him away from me.

Ananya: How mean!! He always growls at me and he is friendly with Maya by just looking at her??

She said frowning and I sat beside Maya stroking Sultan’s back lightly. I love this baby of mine.

Rudra: He is my dog Anu. He knows whom I love.

I told her shrugging and she glared at me annoyed. Even I am slightly confused about Maya and Sultan’s liking to each other but I am happy that they like each other.

Maya: Rudra it’s late. I have to leave now.

Maya said getting up as soon as Sultan left for his dog house retiring for the night. She is right but I want to give this family of mine something to talk about.

Rudra: No way!! Come with me. I will show you our room first.

I told her and grabbed her hand tightly while she looked at me startled.

Maya: But Rudra...

She was going to say something or I can say deny me but I didn’t let her finish her sentence.

Rudra: No if or but. Excuse me!!

I dragged her away from my family towards my room and finally stopped inside my room and left her hand. I fell down on my bed with a thud and closed my eyes smiling slightly. I felt the bed move beside me and I opened my eyes only to see Maya sitting beside me looking at me confused.

Maya: What are you thinking?

She asked looking at me curiously and I tried not to laugh out loud today.

Rudra: I love the panic on Mj’s face today.

I told her winking and she smiled looking at me.

Maya: Let me come here. Then you will see that look every single day.

She said with a determined face and I nodded at her.

Rudra: Hope so!!

I said and closed my eyes again. It feels really good to just close my eyes and take rest after such a long and eventful day. I opened my eyes startled feeling some weight on me.

Rudra: What the!!

I looked stunned as I saw Maya on top of me. What the hell is she doing??

Rudra: What are you doing Maya?

I asked gulping slightly at this proximity of us. Maya is beautiful but still I don’t want to be this close to her. She makes me slightly nervous.

Maya: He is outside the room Rudra.

She moved close to me and then whispered in my ears. I took a deep breath and looked at her tensed. Who is she talking about??

Rudra: Who?? Rish?

I asked from her softly and she shook her head at me.

Maya: MJ!!

She whispered and I moved my hand slowly on her waist.

Rudra: I think he wants to see some suspense thriller movie here.

I told her smiling slightly and she frowned looking at me.

Maya: What are you planning to show him Rudra??

She asked looking at me suspiciously and I grinned looking at her. Too bad I am not in the mood to show him a suspense thriller.

Rudra: A chick flick with so much romance that in the end he will get sick.

I winked and pulled her towards me by waist and we both looked at each other for some time but then we both burst out laughing looking at each other. I took deep breaths only to see Maya laughing whole heartedly. Its good to see that she can be normal too.

Rishi: This is pure madness. What are you both doing??

We both got up abruptly hearing Rishi’s voice. What is he doing here in my room?

Rudra: Rish!! What are you doing here??

I asked looking at him frowning and he just rolled his eyes looking at me. Now what??

Rishi: Trying to save you both from the wrath of MJ.

He said and we both looked at him confused. What is he trying to say?

Rishi: At least till your wedding.

He said shrugging and I tried not to understand what he wants to say actually.

Rishi: Dad was watching you both with murderous expressions on his face.

He said and I shook my head at him.This is just the start. I will force him to drink his own bitter medicine of deceit.

Rudra: Good!! He should be furious. And this is just the start Rish.

I told him and saw him sighing shaking his head at me.

Rishi: I just want to see you both happy.

He said softly and I saw Maya stiffened hearing him.

Maya: Are you sure you can afford the price of it??

Maya asked looking at Rishi in challenge and I looked at her amused. Looks like Maya has assumed the position of guide to Rishi.

Rishi: I can and I will. I hope both of you can tell me about what Dad did to you.

He said looking at both of us almost pleading and I flinched away from him lightly. I can’t tell him what had happened with me.

Maya: And I just hope you don’t have to learn your dad’s truth the harsh way.

Maya said looking ahead as if in a trance and I took a deep breath shaking my head. There was no one to protect me from MJ but for Rishi I will always be there. Mrityunjay Roy can’t hurt my brother as he had hurt me. Never again would I allow him to harm my loved ones. At least not in this lifetime.

Maya’s POV:

I shook my head coming out of my thoughts as I heard Rudra’s voice.

Rudra: Anyways!! It’s time to leave now. Get ready on time tomorrow.

He said looking at me almost sternly and I tried not to laugh. No one could control me, never again but I know he is just stating the obvious.

Maya: Of course I will be. After all it’s our Mehendi function.

I told him shrugging nonchalantly and he nodded at me. I looked at Rishi only to see him smiling at both Rudra and me. It’s good to see Rishi becoming Rudra’s brother rather than MJ’s son. I turned around to go only to stop in my tracks hearing Rudra’s voice.

Rudra: Maya!!

I turned again sighing and saw Rudra looking at me seriously. Now what happened to him?? I raised my eyebrows at him to ask him about the matter.

Rudra: I just want to request one thing.

He said almost pleading and I looked at him startled. What is wrong with him??

Maya: Sure!! What??

I nodded and saw him coming towards me with a serious face. Okay!! He is actually making me nervous now.

Rudra: Please don’t wear black tomorrow.

He said softly and I looked at him stunned. What the!! I heard Rishi laughing and I rolled my eyes at them. They both are getting too free with me.

Maya: Good night !!

I told them sternly and left the room. I won’t be getting lost here. I know every nook and corner of Roy Mansion. All of a sudden I felt nervousness return to my whole body and I knew that MJ is near me. But this time I have to face him without fear.

Mrityunjay: Maya Jaisingh!! Are you real??

I turned around only to see him looking at me seriously and I took a deep breath smiling at him. It won’t be this easy for him to recognize me.

Maya: Maya’s secret is in her name only.

I told him smirking and he stiffened glaring at me.

Mrityunjay: Illusion. I was right. You are not real, you are just an illusion and I won’t let you enter this house. Mark my words.

He said warning me and I clenched my fists tightly. This time his words is not going to come true. Cause I won’t let it happen.

Maya: I am already inside the house MJ. I am going to marry Rudra, whether you want it or not, I don’t care.

I told him shrugging and saw his eyes flare in anger.

Mrityunjay: Wedding is still faraway. 3 minutes are enough for me to destroy a person, but here I still have 3 days.

He said in arrogance and I shook my head amused. I know pretty well how much time he takes to destroy a person completely.After all I had a firsthand experience.

Maya: My love is not that weak MJ. If I can handle a monster like you, then I can do anything.

I told him smirking and saw him stiffen slightly.

Mrityunjay: You are going to regret it big time.

He said in a warning tone and I tried not to let it bother me. I know Rudra will never leave me now but still I don’t trust this MJ, not even a bit. He will try to manipulate Rudra and for that I have to keep an eye on Rudra. And who better than Rishi for this work??

Maya: We will see.

I told him and came out of the house only to see Rajiv standing outside my car looking ahead tensed. He straightened as he saw me coming towards him and he nodded at me smiling slightly. We both sat in my car and I started driving towards my home.

MJ’s POV:

I gripped the pen tightly in my hand.This girl is not going to be manipulated like HER. I have to do something to personally remove her from my way. But for now I have to observe her.

Aamir: What do you think MJ?? Isshe the same girl?

I heard Aamir’s voice and shook my head at him. The thought occurred to me too after what Ma said in the party but I don’t think this girl is the same.

Mrityunjay: She is pretty confident around me. And she is ready to fight for Rudra. All this is really confusing Aamir.

I told him tensed. Could she actually love Rudra? I remember whatever happened with HER 10 years ago. I never though tI would see this face again.

Aamir: I never thought I would attach any other name with this face.

Aamir said looking ahead tensed and I nodded at him slightly. He is right. It is still difficult to think that this face is again in front of us.

Rishi: Which face are you talking about??

I turned around startled hearing Rishi’s voice and saw him looking at both of us suspiciously. One son of mine is already against me, I won’t let this son of mine drift away from me. Rishi will always be under my shadow. And by the way what is he doing here?

Mrityunjay: Rishi!! What are you doing here? I thought you would be asleep till now.

I asked and he sighed looking at me smiling.

Rishi: Actually I was discussing something with the wedding planners.

He said shrugging and I nodded at him. He is getting too enthusiastic for his brother’s marriage and this is actually irritating me to no end.

Mrityunjay: Did you want something?

I asked looking at him curiously and he nodded at me in yes.

Rishi: Yes!! Be ready by 11 am tomorrow.

He said almost as if he is ordering us and I looked at Rishi confused.

Mrityunjay: Why??

I asked and saw him shaking his head at me disappointed. Now what happened?

Rishi: Tomorrow is Mehendi ceremony Dad. We all are going to Maya’s house.

He said softly and I clenched my fists smiling at Rishi. I felt like breaking someone’s bones but I can’t do anything.

Rishi: Good night Dad!! Night Uncle.

Rishi said smiling and left the study room. This is so not done. Mehendi ceremony?? I don’t want that girl near my son and Rudra is hell bent on making her his life partner.

Mrityunjay: Mehendi ceremony. Rudra is really getting out of hand.

I shook my head and saw Aamir looking at me curiously. Looks like he wanted to ask something. I nodded at him and he sighed looking at me tensed.

Aamir: What’s the chances that this Maya manipulated Rudra into believing that he loves her?

He asked and I rolled my eyes at him.I have already told him what I thought about Rudra getting manipulated.

Mrityunjay: None at all. He is Rudra Roy, Aamir. No one can manipulate him.

I told him shrugging and then a thought came into my mind. I can’t do anything to Maya till she is associated with Rudra and so I need an opportunity to keep her away from Rudra.

Mrityunjay: Keep tabs on her. A single doubt and she will be out of our life forever.

I said smirking at Aamir and he nodded leaving the study room abruptly. It’s time to fight the battle again.
