They can't question her rank but they can question the amount stated.

Such reports comes with a disclaimer that they may not be accurate. Its just an estimation they calculate based on various sources.

Too bad Forbes India may not pay attention to her, it could be they do not want to waste time and resource$ on a media cat fight.

But they should wait until her panga FLOP comes out, then take some real fun panga with her. They are "the accused" so if they take up the argument and request their day in court, they can question kangoli and it will rest on her shoulders to put her money where her mouth is (in their case is what other people use as an a-hole).

I read what Forbes wrote and they are not dumb like kangoli, the little tiny letters at the bottom do mean something....It is up to her to prove exact amounts, to do so she has to show proper documentation, so the self titled "highest paid actress" may be not so well paid, no surprise there to anyone.

But even if the tax system in India is ludicrous Ms. loudmouth should be paying at a 30% rate, and she should have proof, if she is paying less then she is good to go so that the government uses her as an example and crack down on the corruption related to tax. Also there is that small detail that she pledged "a large part of her salary" to Sadhguru's cause, and 14 thousand dollars is not large if you make millions.

The funniest part of all of it is to watch kangoli spinning, within hours she gripes about being "under reported on wealth" and immediately makes a U turn and starts preaching non accumulation of wealth and low resources usage.... LOL...she must be doing more than just drinking funny juice, I think she is hitting the medicinal..

Highest paid supermodel gisele bundchen house had raid by tax department because they overestimated her earnings. So yes tax authorities can visit as people often take forbes as holy bible these days lol

Isn't that wastage of time, energy and money?

Many actors purchase awards in award functions. So things can go anyway. If true, sending legal notice for small issues is meaningless.

BUT If you imply in the USA where she owns several homes, then sorry to tell you that your information is erroneous, she was audited and being audited vs having your house raided are two very different things, an audit consists of a letter asking you and/or your tax accountant for specific information and documents and YES in the USA you better take their letter seriously and answer the IRS quickly because when they ask they are serious about fixing whatever confusion they have, when they raid you, then they have no questions because they already know you cheated. So if you have no issues you send them the information and they are happy, over and done...till next year...

BELIEVE me when I tell you that the USA IRS does not function nor work on what Forbes reports they do not need to, the IRS is more powerful and resourceful than almost any other federal agency anywhere in the world, they know absolutely everything about everybody and their mother. I do not care what ms. bundchen may have said as to why she was audited, it sure as heck was not over what a gossip rag claims, nor do I feel any empathy, she can afford to hire a very good accountant. I am sure Forbes keeps their own records in an orderly manner...heaven forbid the IRS might have questions for them...

It would be very good for India if their IRS started cracking down there too, because double the people who currently pay, should be paying income tax...
