I scanned him in the first few episodes and knew then itself that he was suffering from lack of a very important organ- spine! Its not his galti that he was born without one....But Sameera cannot spend the rest of her life assisting this poor spineless man, so hopefully at some point she will dump his sorry self and move on with her life!

I love this show. It's up there with the likes of ZGH, Kankar etc. It's a true representation of how many people/men are. There are very few people who practice what they preach and often times the ones closest to you end up surprising you. There are so many men like Salman in South Asia. They're doing a great job and very realistically portraying the sentiment and experience of someone like Sameera, her parents and siblings.

Her parents are so believable and real. This show is a masterpiece.

Even though I like this show but the promo for the next episode had me going “ Oh no not again”. This theme of the evil mother in law wanting her son to get married to the woman of her choice by instigating marital discord between the couple has been done to death and I don’t even know in which universe women like these exist who are so desperate to get married to an already married man.

Oh , Finally Sameera spoke up.😊 I am glad that she didn't make more compromises. Yes, I was sad that she had to run after Salman when he went out of her parent's house angrily..but then , her speach about him treating her like a dirty cloth shows that she knows that there's no love left between them.😒

I cried again watching Sameera's trauma. 😭 But I am relieved because her parents stood up for her. And when Hamza said that Salman's parents are also the parents of a daughter I was .

This drama is very special for me..not just because it deals with a rape survivour's journey.. it is because it deals with many other issues in our society about women's lives after marriage, spacially working women. Salman and his family who pretend to be modern behave like illitrate ppl with Sameera just because she is a wife and she has no say in her in law's house.🤔 Salman asked her to quit job , I wish she kept a condition on her nikah pprs that she can continue working after marriage so that he couldn't go against it after marriage.

This show should have focused on the assault and it's consequences instead of bringing in too many negative elements.

Salman and his mother are causing her more pain than the assault itself. Sameera's circumstances have changed and that has brought in some changes in Salman's attitude but the way he is behaving shows that he has never the sweet and understanding man that he tried to project initially.

All this drama that the mother in law/husband are bringing is shifting the focus from the main issue.

It should have been about Sameera's recovery, her fight to get justice, better future etc.

But all this happens in a survivors life, may be? What else or who else you want to see the survivor fight? Fight to get the justice from whom? Those were faceless creatures who have hurt the girl and left...But these are the people who hav a face and an identity in her life who are supposed to try and make the hurt given by the strangers go away...I guess the fight will be with the people around her for her right to live with her head held high without feeling guilty for something she didn’t do....

Not willing to fight and letting those men go scotfree is sending a wrong message. Hopefully there will be some kind of justice in this regard.

Coming to the current storyline, her relationship with her father is irreparable, her mother is always on the fence, her mother in law and husband are horrible people. Like you said, these are the people who should have supported her and helped her but they have let her down time and again. So, what kind of win will it be to fight and win with/against these people?

My biggest peeve is that her brother is the only sane one and it is driving me crazy to see so many negative/grey characters.

I hope the MIL and salman behaviour is a catalyst for her to stand up for herself and go after the criminals....we saw her looking up Mukhtara mai story, so perhaps she will now be inspired.

I agree that the show wears one down with its negativity....That’s a general complaint I have of all the Ary shows...I watched Aisi Hai Tanhai last year where there was misery and nothing but misery with very little positivity all the way till the last episode...And then there was Bala where it was the same with the culprit getting away with everything until the last 10 minutes of the last episode...And these are the shows with the TRPs shooting through the roof...I guess negativity sells!
