But in a lot of times if you’re learning martial arts like Tai Chi, MMA or krav - maga( ive learnt Krav Maga ) your opponent can beat you by being half your size coz they have more technique and strength.
I’m personally tall for a girl around 5’8- and do a lot of strength building in the gym but girls who look like they will fly away if someone touches them have managed to beat me a couple of times! So physical look is not always a merit to judge someone’s strength.
Coz like the way it’s the not the size of the dog that matters but the fight in the dog that matters!
cheers
Hi, I agree with you there, A lighter guy can beat a bigger guy especially if the bigger is untrained and the lighter guy is a trained fighter. But if both are equally skilled and fit, the advantage will most definitely shift to the larger guy, because of those physical attributes that physical advantage, which gives a big edge. Even in boxing say someone like Floyd Mayweather best in his weight class, if you were to put him in a street fight or the ring with Lennox Lewis or Tyson, that would be suicide. Or you put the best middleweight greco roman wrestler against say Aleks Karelin, that would be a big death wish. Size does play a big part here also
