I don't know. But maybe Ranbir thinks he like Rhea so initially he saw Rhea but actully he loves Prachi so he saw her. He then inshock opened his eye. Maybe if he didn't do that, the Rhea portion would have disappeared. Also Rhea eas the one who was extended her hand towards Ranbir in that scene. Don't know what it signifies.

Only cv's can tell us the significance of the way they showed prachi and rhea in his imagination with prachi being sad in contrast to rhea happy and rhea extending her hand out towards ranbir happily.

Its just a way to drag the whole scene. If he had seen only Prachi he would know that he loves her. But they gave us annoying Rhea too so that he will still stay in the confused state.

Yes you're right. They intentionally put rhea and prachi both in his imagination so that his confusion doesn't end, but only gets increased.

Hope he tries to put some of his brain about why he is seeing her. But its Ranbir so I he won't think about it at all.

Yeah the day may come where ranbir revisits his imagination and this time rhea fades. His imagination is clearly mirroring his current position of sailing in two boats.

At first the imagination scene made me think he's in love with both girls

IKR! It's such an inconvenience. It has not been disconnected till now but don't know when again it will be disconnected.

That imagination scene was plain weird. I mean how can you see 2 girls when you close your eyes and try to visualize what your heart wants to tell you? Till date I have seen that whenever such a situation arrives, the girl or the guy sees their respective true love, their soulmate. Here this dumb idiot is seeing both the girls! Does that mean both are in his heart? Ugh! I just don't get it!
