I was surprised to see SRJ to be cast opposite Ashnoor

He actually looks too old aka Ashnoor still looks like a 15 yr old regardless what age she pretends to be in the show ...it will be a bit creepy to see a full grown man romancing a child ...

maybe it’s a more of a mentor ship role

This is the theme of a very popular show on Zee TV, so I am quite surprised they are taking this angle. In that show, the ML is a chef too and is much much older than his wife, the FL (he is around 45 and she is supposed to be around 20-21).

The age difference was same in leads also in kashmh se serial where prachi desai during that time was 16 and ram kapoor 34.and the main thing jai and bani was very famous jodi and they even won ITA best jodi award 2006.
