PART 10

Raman came out of the tent ,he placed the leave letter in his senior's tent and start walking .the camp was at some deserted place ,so it was difficult to find any conveyance but he was determined.determined to reach Ishita as soon as possible.

Raman walked for around ten kilometers to come on road and finally start walking on the road.

After walking for sometime,he saw a truck coming.he signalled to stop the truck.

Truck driver-kya hua paaji,koi help chahiye.

Raman-haan please,drop me to the nearest bus station ,railway station yaa airport.kahin bhi drop kar dijiye.mujhe Delhi pahunchana hai jald se jald.

Truck driver-kuch bahut zaruri hai Kya??

Raman -bahut,samajh lijiye meri zindagi ka sawaal hai.

Truck driver-pyaar ka maamla hai Kya??he said making Raman smile.

Truck driver-matlab pyaar ka hi maamla hai,come in.i will drop u to Delhi only .Delhi hi jaa raha hoon.he said and Raman settled in his truck thanking him.

Soon they were on the way to Delhi .both were talking about their love story and finally Raman slept looking at her pic in his wallet.

In the morning,iyers were sleeping when their door bell rang.

Amma got up and said-itni subah subah kaun aa gaya, vishwa utho ,go and check who came at this time .she said shaking appa.

Appa got up and went to check on the door.he opened the door and got shocked seeing Raman standing on the door looking tired and worn-out.

Appa-arey Raman tum??

Raman-i am sorry ,appa,to disturb u at this time.but Kya karun ,mujhse wait nahi hua.he was saying when appa said-come inside first.

Raman came inside and said-can I get a glass of water.

Appa nodded and called amma.she brought water for him which he had in a go .Amma was about to go to make coffee for him when he said-dont bother urself ,amma.i am good.waise bhi Maine aap logon ko subah subah pareshan kiya.but Kya karun mere mann mein bahut bure bure khayal aa rahe the,jaise Ishita bahut dard mein hai ,toh main rok nahi paaya khud ko .usse dekhne aa gaya.he said making her parent look at each other.

Amma-but tum toh camp par the??

Raman -main chod kar aa gaya.ishita ko bula dijiye ek baar,main bas usse dekh lunga,phir wapas chala jaaunga.

Appa-u came this much far just to see her??he asked in shock .

Raman-cant tell u what I was feeling,I was feeling suffocated .lag raha tha mar jaaunga agar nahi dekha Ishita ko toh,issliye aa gaya.woh so rahi hai kya.please call her once,I will go seeing her fit and fine.he said desperately making amma-appa look at each other.

They were not understanding how to tell him that his Ishita is not fit and fine and how much he loves her that he could feel her pain even from such a distance.

Seeing them not responding,Raman said-please appa,I know I am behaving weird but can't help it.mujhe usse dekhna hai.he said and Amma nodded.she went inside and sat next to Ishita .she softly caressed her hair and her few hair came into her hand making Amma cry .she shakes ishita and said-ishu Kanna.

Ishita got up and said-kya hua,Amma.

Amma-raman aaya hai ,tujhse Milne.

Ishita got happy hearing this and said-raman aa gaye, mujhse milne.i was waiting for him only.kitni der Kar di aane mein unhone .she said happily and got up to go .she ran to mirror to comb her hair but stopped seeing her reflection.

She turned to her Amma and said-mujhe nahi milna unse.

Amma-what u r saying,he came just to meet u ,see u Kanna.

Ishita started crying and said-main kaise jaaun unke saamne .I am looking so horrible.main kaise face karungi unhe .

Amma-kuch bhi nahi hua hai ,Kanna .u r fine and very soon u will be like before .she said trying to console her .

Ishita hide her face in her palm and said-nahi nahi nahi,aisa nahi hoga .main kabhi pehle jaisi nahi ho paaungi .mujhe Kya ho gaya hai ,Amma.she said crying bitterly while Amma too couldn't control herself and start crying .

Raman and appa heard the crying and Raman said-kya hua,sab thik hai naa??

Appa-u stay here,let me check.saying so he went to check while Raman was getting worried .

He waited for sometime and then went not able to hold back.he entered the room and saw Amma appa trying to console Ishita while she was sitting hiding her face and crying .he couldn't see her as Amma -appa were sitting covering her.

Raman couldn't understand anything and said-ishita.

Amma -appa saw him and moved a little making him look at her.his eyes widen in shock seeing her ,so lean ,full of wrinkles,almost half bald.

Raman -ishita,Ishita,Kya hua jaan??

Ishita hide her face and said-go away Raman,I don't wanna show my face.she said crying when he came closer and said taking her in his arms.though she was resisting but he was holding her firmly.

Raman -kya hua babu,what happened bachcha??he asked caressing her cheek and she start crying bitterly .

She hugged him tight and said crying-dont know what's happening with me,main kitni kharab lagne lagi hoon.mujhe bahut dard bhi hota hai .I feel terrible ,raman.please help me.she said crying while he was just hugging her tight trying to console her.

After sometime ,when her crying lessen ,he asked-kya hua,Kya hua Kya hai .koi batayega mujhe??

Ishita-dont know,I fainted one day.

Raman-kab??

Ishita-the day u were going for camp.

Raman -mujhe bataya kyun nahi??

Ishita-i thought aap pareshan ho jayenge .

Raman-phir,which doctor u consulted??

Ishita-appa took me to papa ji.he checked me aur kaha deficiency hai.mujhe kuch test karwane ke liye bulaya.she was saying and crying .

Raman wiped her tears and said-haan phir,phir Kya hua bachcha .tell me .

Ishita-papa ji did few test and after that Meri tabiyat kharab hone lagi.baal girne lage,bahut pain hota hai .vomiting bhi hoti hai.i feel terrible ,Raman .I feel terrible .papa ji kehte hai sirf deficiency hai but I feel like I am very sick.she said and hugged him tight again crying.

He caressed her hair and few hair come in his hand too.

He look at her parent who look down in guilt .

Raman-kya hua hai meri Ishita ko.he asked to which both was silent.

Raman -answer me got damnit.i know the answer but wanna hear from u. Kya hua hai Ishita ko .he roared and both start crying.

Appa-breast cancer.he said making Ishita shocked.she look at everyone and he hugged her again saying -nothing bachche,main hoon naa. I will take care of everything.

Ishita-raman,cancer.

Raman-shh kuch nahi .kuch bhi nahi .he said and hide her in his arms.

Then he look at appa and asked -mujhe kyun nahi bataya.main hota uske saath.jab usse sabse jyada meri zarurat thi ,I left her alone .kyun nahi bataya kisi ne mujhe.

Appa-mr bhalla didn't want to worry u.unhone kaha ki ishu thik ho rahi hai .

Raman-really,I don't feel so.kahan hai iske reports .

Appa-woh toh tumhare papa ke paas hi hai .

Raman picked Ishita in his arms and said-tum chalo mere saath.i have to ask papa why he didn't informed me about ur sickness.

Appa-let her be here only.

Raman -nahi,now I will not leave her even for a second. Yeh mere saath rahegi ,hamesha.rahogi naa .he asked to which she just hide more into him.

Amma stopped appa to say anything and said-u take her with u. Tumhare saath shayad woh thik rahe.

Raman kissed her temple and said-tumhe toh main thik kar hi lunga,but papa has to answer me first ,ki kyun unhone mujhse itni badi baat chupayi .how can he hide this from me.he went and went out of Iyer house to reach bhalla mansion taking Ishita along .

Raman left the note for his senior and went out of camp he was not finiding any transport finally he saw a truck he asked for lift driver asked if its about love raman said yes he said he will drop him till delhi raman started sharing his love story and slept next morning he reached delhi he went to iyer house appa was shocked seeing him raman asked for water amma gave him raman told how weird he waa feeling he was feeling ishita is in pain he just want to see her once amma and appa were shocked raman pleaded amma went to call ishita she woke ishita and told raman is there to meet her ishita got happy but stopped seeinf her reflection in mirror she denied amma was making her understand ishita start crying raman and appa heard her crying appa went to see raman was not able to wait more he went to ishitas room amma and appa gave him side he was shocked seeing ishitas condition he hugged her and asked what happened ishita told him how she fainted one day and her appa took her to his father ishita told raman how much pain she is feeling raman asked appa what have happened to her appa told raman breast cancer ishra were shocked he consoled ishita he said he want answer from his father why did he hide this big truth from him he took ishita with him hope raman will get to know his fathers true face
