Just finished watching. Vijay Sethupathi won my heart. So well articulated and respectful. Not a huge fan of Parvathy 's behavior but here she is composed and calm and spoke well. Ayushman and Deepika were also fine.

Despite being a Ranveer fan, he went ott on this interview. Hope he tones it down. Hate it when VD, Ranveer and Manoj Bajpayee kept cutting others. Not cool. Alia looked disinterested imo.

About the qn on risk factors of gender , i think it's the same. Everything does not have to be abt male vs female.

It's almost always the role... thoda sa homework to know the emotion of the character in each scene/take... baaki camera ke saamne jo bhi dimag mein aata hai woh log karke jaate hai.

Diasgree.

The homework part is the process. Everyone does it differently.

VD hasn’t done anything significant where he has had to put in a lot and he seems closer to AR himself so hardly had to put in any effort.

VS said he gave 60-70 takes and finally could bring the female in him out. It takes different ways to get things right. Still is a process. Ya.. winging it is a thing but few aren’t lazy enough to just sleep walk (like Akshay in recent movies)

Some people are so butthurt that Deepika was invited, 🤣... Maybe their favourites wasn't, but then this is not Oscar invites, so why bother... And why not skip her interviews if you hate her so much.... Some people really like to torture themselves

Hands down the most annoying was Alia! She could barely string together a sentence that was coherent or you know, sound like a grown ass woman, not a teenager. Should have swapped her for Vidya, Madhuri or someone. Anyone

The ladies rocked. Parvathy was outstanding. Deepika stood her ground. Alia was as passionate and opinionated as always. The guys were mostly disappointing - what's new? Ranveer is so articulate though, as well as pompous at times, but I'll take it. Ayushmann is sweet. Manoj was almost becoming the Rani Mukerji of Rajeev Masand's roundtable - major eek. And that Vijay guy, trying to justify trashy characters - BIG NO. The other Vijay(?) was humble and nice. Loved Anupama's work on this. To keep them all in check. Applause.

The first 20 minutes was so bad. I like DP out of all the guests, don’t really like Ranveer and Alia, but man were these 3 behaving so strangely, jaise apne living room mein baithke baat kar rahe hai. If I as a viewer was finding their side tangents a little rude considering the setting, I wonder what Manoj and the South actors must have been feeling.

Another observation was that Ranveer is a typical moohphat tho, praises Ayushman with backhanded digs - Mr ROI, he’s “the Ayushman” etc. It was just bad when he kept cutting everyone randomly and being a little boisterous when it really wasn’t required.

I don’t care for Alia at all - don’t think much of her as an actress - but she was clearly out of her depth here and it looked like a child is trying to be involved in the grown ups conversation. The best part was her insta comments rant - nepokid, i don’t know why they keep putting snake emoji 😂. Also KJo is so random, why would he read out comments to her? So demeaning. He has low self esteem so I get why he reads them but reading them out to other people is a whole new level of sadistic.

The South actors were better behaved in comparison. Parvathy was so smart, articulate and self aware as well with ‘oh yeh toh activist feminist type hai, iske saath selfie nahi chahiye 😂’, both Vijays seemed so much better behaved in comparison. I also liked that she kept speaking in Hindi to show that she is more involved and comfortable and it came naturally to her. Vijay S didn’t talk much but was clear in his points and Vijay D seemed quite chilled out - lol at I don’t even know how to pronounce Delhi let alone act as Delhiwala - but I think he knew that the Arjun Reddy points were going to come up anyway and said what he had to.

The convo did get better though - I liked that Manoj held his ground / opinion even if everyone didn’t agree with him. The funniest was when Vijay D was praising Ranveer and DP - ‘Ranveer is funny even in the MakeMyTrip ads 😂’. There was definitely some mutual respect and I think Anupama tried her best to be fair to everyone by cutting off the Kabir Singh debate and telling off Ranveer with the no PDA.
