The reason Aarti felt bad was cause she thinks that Sid is her only friend and she only trusts him. Sid gives so much importance to Sana but never gives the same importance to Aarti. I think he liked Asim too.

Aarti always consoles Sana when she is crying, but Sana toh Sana hai.

Have you ever seen him talking in softer tone? He only goes to people he cares and he did go to her twice, once Aarti complained that he didn’t support and in the night he was asked to leave from the room and indirectly told that he is the reason for her condition! Oh this isn’t what singularly makes him an ass - IMO. There’s plenty of reference material over the season that Shukla has so kindly provided that goes into my forming that view. I don’t make excuses for anyone’s inability to moderate their tone - that’s their problem.

Today he was rude to her when she was visibly very upset. He doesn’t have a drop of EI - all he focused on was that she was criticizing him. And I have seen him talking in a softer tone - to Shenaaz. He has the capability to read the situation and moderate his own personality for Shehnaaz - he can do so for others too, but he chooses not to. Just as he chose not to today. Ergo - an insensitive ass.
