I hate the ITV idea that Indian bahu has to wear saris only. In fact sona's explanation makes no sense. Given that she wears only saris for her serial, any normal woman (that too one living in Bombay) would want to get out of those saris and wear something different when not shooting. Look at all our TV actors. Do they roam around in saris?

I think this is either to appeal to a certain audience segment that likes adarsh bahus, or maybe it is Dipika's own request to wear saris as she has put on weight and maybe she thinks saris are the best way to hide that weight gain. It's a pity, because it was refreshing to see an ITV heroine in jeans and tops and casual wear.
