Who should play Madhubala - amongst these 3? - Page 3

Madhuri or Manisha Koirala were the best choices if this film would be made couple of decades or even a decade back..there should be some way to make them look younger..if actors can be made to look older then even young look should be possible.

Madhuri is apt .. everyone knows that. But Manisha of '1942-a love story' days also had the charm, innocence and captivating smile like Madhubala. She would even depict the pain well

Between Manisha and Madhuri - Manisha would have been a better choice - imho.

Like someone suggested Yami, yea she'd be decent. Also Madhubala wasn't really known for her acting chops.

Madhubala may not been known for her acting skills, lekin anyone imitating her, needs to have the ability to imitate her, especially her expressions, which I don't think today's actress are capable of, as they always tend to overdo whenever they try the nain mattakka.

I love Madhuri but agree here..No one shows the pain or trauma as beautifully and subtly as Manisha..She was superb in 1942, Khamoshi, Bombay and Dil se..u feel for her

I watch Baahon ke Darmiyaan only for her..and in contrast she was so lively in Aaj main upar

I love Madhuri too - but here to portray Madhu Bala - Manisha would have been a perfect choice - if this movie was to be made a decade or two earlier

Am I the only one, who thinks while young Madhuri would have been the best choice due to her expressions and smile matching with Madhubala, but face wise she was nothing like Madhubala.

Yes, I agree. Hence I said Yami, she's a good actor...

Someone opened a thread sometime ago about Madhubala's acting credentials, she was known more for her beauty, in terms if acting talent Nutan, Meenakumari, Nargis, Waheeda were better actresses.
