I am right now not watching any Indian show and that's why surfed some show plots to find out anything watchable. I went through some seriously crappy plots including Ekta shows. Found one eerily similar to RK. Guess which one----

step 1) boy and girl are frienimies - girl has to marry some evil man to save her daddy's property and respect - boy tells her and girl refuses to believe - boy ultimately saves the day and reveals the evil.

2) boy and girl now love each other and are set for marriage - another man blackmails girl to marry him in exchange of saving the boy or daddy or some1 - girl breaks marriage and marries the man - boy girl still keeps swooning on each other - girl keeps talking about patni dharm and boy keeps his faith intact on love - boy doesn't care about extra marital because evil hubby, blackmail marriage, love blah blah blah and is hell bent on brainwashing the girl into doing the same -

3) there is an evil MIL and evil Sis in law

--------Ladies, I just narrated a part of the story of the popular ekta show KZK 2. The storyline sounds familiar ?

I think there's very left less to say when a divine Radha Krishna love story entirely resembles an Ekta Kapoor show. This is rock bottom for our entire mythological history. I just hope the rock bottom doesn't have a basement.

[ I don't know IF rules but I have seen people talk this much about other shows in forums. So I guess this much is allowed.]

Thank God, till date I never watched Ekta's serials. I watched only Balika Vadhu, that too upto a certain period, this time tempted to watch because it is about my Radha &Krishna, and they didn't meet my expectations!

You see, in our eyes we have such high images of our beloved characters, that (personally, at least) no human can do full justice to them.

Also, how on earth did they wind up with SUCH a horrible script?! And I thought Suryaputra was going to be the limit!

As I have said before, I don't care about accuracy when the creative liberty creates something sensible. TBH I had no problem with golok curse and many similar unoriginal tracks. On the contrary I absolutely loved this show. But one of the major reasons most of us love mythology is because of the 'good always conquers evil' concept. Same with fairy tales.

If I had to watch evil always getting an upper hand, I would have watched some show based on a dystopian universe or some serial killer documentary ( I love both of the genres though 🤡).

But here Krishna just kept on sparing not one but three psychopaths ( and now kutila counts to four. Yes I included Ugra because-----1) He came to know about Ayla's murder attempts before their marriage and just forgot. 2) BLACKMAIL MARRIAGE 3) Innumerable hypocritical behaviours) from time and again. Not only that, Krishna sent his 'prem' to the lion's den and kept her in the dark until the end. Not even a mention of what those shitpits did. Not even a single thought of it.

I have not been a regular watcher since the marriage track and almost left during Gopika vallabh. I don't even know how Revati looks. Revati should be right now in brahmlok listening to gandharv songs for f's sake, not on freaking earth !!!!

But my mom kept on watching with the only hope that as this is a mytho, Krishna will certainly punish atleast hurricane Ayla before leaving. But today she got heartbroken. That makes me pissed. I liked today's episode because I had no expectations and I loved the parallel with the earlier episode ( the time when I was in love with the show )

May be they will redeem ug-ay-ja-ku after the show's 4 years anniversary and Krishna having grandsons. I won't go to the discussion on whether those cranberry crapnuts are redeemable, but one thing I can say for sure is that Krishna certainly isn't. Period.

I concur with the last line here. Cvs Krishna is as much to point a finger at as the others!!!

Mehh su-ka are good. They got good acting coaches and improved a lot, got a platform where people came to love them and got famous, earned a lumpsome, improved not only on acting but also in broad set choreographed dances------ a pretty great job experience on their crown imo. Plus they made friends and whenever I saw them offline, it seemed like they had good influence on each other ( specially ba-su-ka ). I don't think they care much about the accuracy in the story. They are too busy making money and being famous to care about that. So I don't feel bad about them even a little bit. 😆

The last Ekta show I watched was kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi ( Came in my dinner time during school and had zero interest ) and kahin toh hoga ( male lead was my teen crush, no idea about the rest of the show. It came after kyunki i.e. just after dinner 😆 ). Then again I watched another ekta-like show in 2019 which is deeply influenced by her and comes inside the wrapper of a divine love story 😉

In my little experience, my personal itv favourite is left right left season 1 though i didn't watch it on tv. I started it through YouTube clips for the same teen crush i talked about before but that show turned out to be pretty amazing in itself.
