This. They guy who threatened his brother he will end their relationship if he breaks a girl's heart and spoils her life is doing this to mishti. They destroyed abir for me. Dint he have another way to breakup. There are other ways

He basically wants to make it very clear to Mishti that there is absolutely no possibility of them ever getting back together. He does not want her to keep waiting for him... hence this out of character behavior and brutal breakup!

He has vocalized many times that Mishti is strong, he is going to think that this way she will be able to forget him and move on...

True this truth would have come out sooner or later. Atleast he could have been honest with mishti and told her everything and told her that temporarily they will breakup till he finds a way. I am okay that he chose Kunal...chalta hai he was put on a spot and he chose Kunal because he thought Mishti is stronger and will be able to handle this better!!!

I just posted in the AT about this...here goes

Abir understanding of Mishti is commendable yaara. He knows her inside out, her fears, insecurities, doubts,abandonment issues everything!!! We have been watching this guy reassuring her and slowly making Mish believe that she is worthy of love, respect and happiness!!

But now to convince Mishti about the breakup he used this against her in the worst way possible !!! Tearing her down and nullifying everything he did for her in the past!!

When it was convenient he lifted her up and now when it is not convenient he tore her down!!!

That girl is already struggling with her self image and this is going to be the final nail in the coffin that seals it!!

I understand everyone who is saying Abir is also suffering (he is no doubt it!!), he had no option....sab chalta he yaar....but can't digest the fact that he deliberately tore some one down to protect his brother!!! This is not the Abir we have seen and loved for the past 8 months!!

We may forgive him seeing him hurt after breakup, par abhi kya karein? I am remembering how mishti was reciting Abir's shayri while trying to break free from kidnappers. But I guess ultimately Abir was put on spot and was asked to choose between Nanko and Mishti... and he got carried away with the new identity of his brother whom he treats like his son and chose Nanko. But I also feel that he knows what his mom is capable of, she would not let them live in peace even if he found other solutions...

Also, somewhere I think he also feels that he has more right on Mishti than anyone else, so he chose to hurt her instead of Nanko...

No matter how we try to justify it, this will become this one daag on Abir that he will not outlive! His mother played her game, and he chose to break Mishti's heart to protect his family. Period.

@bold - the ultimate truth pali... but i do understand his reason for doing this... not only for kunal its for mishti too she doesnt deserve to be tortured in this family... and he wants mishti to move on, abir is not someone to oscillate first he decided love was important he did everything for her now he is in spot to chose kunal which is a bigger mistake but then he is not gonna go behind mish after sometime thats not how he is...
