it would have definitely been humiliating for nb. she was effectively just used. used for support/money/friendship pre wedding then used at the shop post wedding. babita could have even given her first refusal when deciding to sell the shop but she didnt.

i noticed something about fridays episode, even after babita said all the harsh things to mini and hs made her see what mini was going through, everything that came out of her mouth was all me me me. guess shes not that different to the khuranas in the end.even her reasons for wanting mini to stay are relating to HER

@bold, this is the saddest bit. She clearly doesn't value Minnie as much as she's been made out to. Minnie lost everything.

It's not HS who came between mother-daughter but Babita who came between father-daughter. I can't forget or forgive her for that. There's no redemption for Babita, the writers made sure of that.

Why did they have to stretch it like this?!

And then when he comes back, she doesn't even bother to tell him the full truths. They're all halves' manipulated to generate the most sympathy for her. Even today, kaise aaram se khaana paros diya without even letting him know the awful thing she said to both Mickey and NB.

Woh to free me milti hai na. She Is selfless . She has been a mother to HS all along yet woh usko puri tarh se maa ka darja nahi de paya. If it was HS mother in place of NB would he have kept silent. It think his insecurity regarding mini originates because of this. He couldn't do it and he thinks mini also cant.

@bold, can you elaborate?

I also think for all NB's words, she failed him when he needed her after Imarti's death. She stopped going to see him. Maybe that's why it was easy for her to come up with that boat analogy.

It's all messed up!

Then again, if Ashok had asked for them, then why didn't she leave? 🤔 Or did she think serving Beeji and Dadu was more important than being with her own husband and giving her child a father? 😕

Ha! What would people say if she left her in-laws for her husband? I guess it would have been an issue like that but then again I don't get why Ashok wouldn't have brought this up during the divorce.

I guess HS will be on the brink of walking out but then they realise Babita is preggers and he turns into full protective mode. Also puts every human emotion into that relationship with his child I guess. Babita will also probably feel some guilt and will help him spoil Arya to no ends 🙁. Seriously I'm so drained by this drama.

Oh, after he lost Minnie, I don't think he will filter what he says. He will either become aloof or give her a serious piece of his mind, i.e. remind her that it's his haveli too and he gets to decide what goes on in there.

I know we won't see this on the show, but I'm quite sure he won't let this go so easily. Also, if NB is there post-leap then I'm sure she'd have seen Arya growing up and will advise Minnie or something. We might find out what happened then.

She literally destroyed his life in a matter of weeks. I know he isn't blameless but none of what he has done would make him deserving of such punishment. Babita would have eventually gotten around to breaking everything. As NB said, she was punishing others for her 17 years.

I can respect that but where is his own self-respect? Instead of catering to her every need, he should have put the foot down and laid some ground rules. Sar par chara ke apne hi gale mein fansi ka fanda pehn liya.

Oh I had wished for this at one point too, but in a way she figuratively will. When she walks out tomorrow, she will take a part of his soul with him, leaving only his body behind.

NB is also 'flawed' as per the CVs. smiley37,

If they hadn't ended season 1 in such a messy way, I would have watched season 2 because of the writing. I am just afraid that if I start watching it, they will put me through this emotional attyachaar again. Iss baar na seh paongi mein.

Living in the uk you see this a lot because of single mums. When the relationship ends sour, the children are the ones to suffer. The mum and dad both move on with other partners but all the while because the mums affections have changed they automatically expect the kid to regard the latest man as “dad”, stop the kids seeing the father and spend every moment possible turning them against their father. They had the potential here to show the difference in spousal relationship and parental. Ashok wasn’t a perfect parent but babita is not a perfect mother also. Just because he was a bad husband doesn’t mean he should be automatically denied the chance to be a father. But with mothers like babita it’s got to be one or the other. Similarly she expected mini to not speak to her own grandparents because of the in-laws they were to her. Not even that, primarily it was so they don’t question HER as a mother and say she’s too focused on her new marriage (which she ended up being anyways) lmao
