I've checked their insta posts. They say they're good friends. But it seems like it is more than friendship.

at least alizeh is getting shows

its a chance for her to improve her acting skills

And more age-appropriate story lines/co-stars. Sometimes she looks too young to be playing the roles she gets/the guys she's opposite.
