The other message from this (not a) message board is that children of dysfunctional families like the Singhs, may also falter in their marriages/parental duties because of the damage to their psyche.

Clearly this had a major part to play in HS' life.

I am not saying that Babita didn't have a responsibility to help the family become a cohesive unit, she definitely did but HS also had limitations even though his intention was never bad.

I don't think so.. every actor adds their personal touches to their characters.. a lot of actors could have done the role.. there are so many strong actors like Iqbal for instance.. Anirudh did an amazing job but we feel he is the best because we are used to him.. similarly there are many actresses who could have done Babita.. it's just that we get so attuned to seeing a particular actor in a role that we don't think anyone else can suit it.. natural but decieving😆

Uff! Iqbal. The magnetism this guy has on screen is just something else. But yeah, each actor would bring his own flavor in so there's no way to tell.

She had a chance to rebuild that friendship after marriage but as per HS' words he doesn't see her being invested in a deep and meaningful one, it is all quite superficial.

Chetan Pandit. That guy is just... Also, Varun Kapoor - he had so much potential but haven't seen him in something major after Swaragini.

I am so glad Varun is back on screen.

If he's suffocated in the marriage, he should voice it out like he did during honeymoon talk. My only hope is that they somehow moved from this, though with a void in their heart, still lived their life (not suffocating and emotionally detached). At the end, I want Babita to realize that Mini going away is actually good for her, and not feel so guilty that she couldn't keep her. Also, she should call up Mini and apologize for her actions (for how she pushed her away), and let her know she never wanted things to escalate to this level. Mini-Babita reconciliation should happen before Babita dies, not necessarily in person but at least via call, facetime etc.

Yeah but as NB said, how long can this cycle continue. Babita would have to step up herself but that's not happening.
