Nah, he for sure isn't acting or anything. He's genuinely pissed off, jealous and believing that prachi did something with sanju just because she was all giddy with him and supposedly flirting with him to his knowledge. His jealousy and possessiveness for prachi is making him act out in an ugly way.

Dear I feel that was actually the whole point perhaps. Many of us predicted that ranbir will not really be able to impress prachi the way rhea wants him to (he has so far never acted upon rhea's orders to impress prachi at all but rhea has been assuming all this while he has) and instead he will end up falling madly for prachi whilst she avoids him and his advances, and it clearly seems that is what is happening. Prachi doesn't even really show any attractiveness for him or any jealousy when he speaks to girls, but here in the party for the first time she was bothered when he wasn't talking to her, yet ranbir's feelings have already grown so strong for prachi where prachi's is pretty much non-existent for pranbir.

Rhea's plan will for sure not only fail but cause prachi to get even more far from ranbir, and how this will bring pranbir close? Well it's the fact that ranbir's feelings for prachi will grow due to this and rhea won't even realise that with passing time ranbir is growing apart from her and is stepping towards prachi. So pranbir will come close due to ranbir's growing feelings for prachi whilst prachi maintains her distance from him. Eventually even prachi will develop feelings for him for sure, but ranbir's feelings will come first.

This is what I have been saying all along. He jealous and pissed off because he assumed that prachi did something intimate with sanju ; something he thought she would never do with a guy before marriage. He is also angry that prachi is taking an interest in another guy who is not ranbir🤪 He is so used to having all the girls throw themselves at him that he is not taking the fact that she is liking someone else easily. Wasn't he telling rhea at the diwali party that all girls want to date him and all boys want to date her?? Seems like it is going to change after the fashion show

Yes and honestly even thought there are many things that I find questionable about ranbir and other things too, the thing I find interesting about pranbir's relationship is that there's a certain extent of freshness and newness with them. There's things that are predictable about their relationship, but many things that are also unpredictable, but more than that, it's knowing that ranbir, as you said being the guy will have to strive more to prove his love and loyalty than the girl. Most of the times the trope is to have the girl to strive more.

Hehehe he painted this image in his head of prachi being the kind of girl who would only get intimate with a guy or pay attention to a guy who she is married to, an impression that he is clearly correct on, but he's weirdly disappointed thinking he was wrong about prachi just because he saw her flirting with and talking with a guy. So in a way he's admitting he finds her alluring, interesting and special compared to other girls and that he liked the things he assumed about her and is disappointed to think that the things he thought about her are perhaps not true after seeing her with sanju.

I am so happy that there will be angst for pranbir in the future. Things are going to turn uglier when the bet is revealed to her. She will become even more distant which will make him chase her even more. He is going to fight for her so hard to prove his love. There is also the fact of rhea being unable to accept pranbir love and manipulating prachi into sacrificing ranbir for rhea's sake. Prachi already consoled rhea and told her that she deserves better than ranbir when he pretended to break up with her.

Heheh yeah I think things will change after the fashion show. People's, especially ranbir's opinions on prachi will change. She'll get more positive attention from people, especially guy's in the college, and that will not only make rhea insecure of her popularity, but also ranbir will see what prachi is capable of even more as not only will she win the fashion show from rhea from will also get everyone's appreciation and all the boy's attention. I'm hoping before the fashion show track even starts that ranbir's feelings already grow for prachi.
