I don't know how you did it. I don't have so much courage. They literally reversed everything with Minnie's retreating steps - we just didn't get the symbolism that day.

LOL I don't know why but somehow, despite the bittersweet feeling also, I just grow to love these old scenes even more as I rewatch them to upload them.

HS ke expressions at the end of this scene when he rushes to Mini as they wheel her out of the OT and the way he's sehlaaoing her hair in a fatherly manner, all his love and worry for her so obvious in his body language....but the first word out of Mini's mouth was "Babes"....and the way his face falls and he realizes and steps back.....who knew that would ultimately become the larger sum of their journey. He was always going to feel hurt at not being able to find his place in Mini's life and so he totally stepped back and just let it be mother-daughter in their world as they saw fit. He tried to cover it up with a smile but baat mann mein baith gayi.

This was such a delicate time in their equation....HS ki vulnerability and his yearning to be her father was never as obvious as this phase....so beautifully portrayed.

I can totally understand. Even now when I go and watch the old scenes, I feel warm and fuzzy inside. They were that brilliant.

@bold beautifully put, dear and yes that scene was breathtakingly beautiful as were those nuances. The way he kept looking down the corridor as they wheeled her away - his expressions said it all. He had earlier on called himself her father during the consent form scene after the receptionist's questions gave him pause and then the realization hit him that it was what his heart had wanted since ages.

Hands down one of the best scenes in the show. Especially at 03:45 in your clip - the change in HS' expressions as something clicks in his mind - I have never been able to articulate what he felt but AD was spectacular in communicating everything with his eyes. I remember feeling back then that it was when HS realized he felt what Babita did as a parent, this new feeling of being concerned about Minnie as a father himself, and also probably remembering Imarti's situation.
