The movie which won Jennifer Lawrence her Oscar. Problem is Alia is a nobody in Hollywood. Producers aren’t going to offer her a role when they’ve got the Jennifers and Brees etc with more name and face recognition. And she’s not tall and hot like Deepika or PC so she won’t fit the sexy exotic girlfriend part either. So either she’s in la la land about this or she’s just doing it for the headlines. She just wants to be able to say my agent found me roles but I turned them down because a, b, or c.

@bold

Very well said! 👏

This reminds me, what happened to Sonam? Her association with a popular agency in the west was much publicized na? I remember people like Masand also tweeting about it.

She can probably be a Dev Patel if she finds the right agent and networks with the right people. But even that is far fetched.

I don't understand the Hollywood craze of these actresses. What's so great about Hollywood?🤔

She gave this quote a couple of years back.

"I have been trying and I have been auditioning. But I haven't got anything substantial yet which I would feel inspirational enough for me to take the time out and go," Sonam told IANS.

Although I don't know why she would audition for roles that are not substantial? Or is she not revealing the fact that she was rejected for the roles she'd auditioned.

Alia will also face the same fate. No one would give a shit for these starkids when they are abroad. They realize it and come back running to good ol Bollywood which will always give them roles sheerly due to nepotism.

I don't know but Alia and Hollywood doesn't sound like a good idea.

Can someone enlighten me what Deepika exactly did in the west? Just curious.

The funniest... On KWK, she herself said to Bebo that she's going to HW when Bebo was saying everyone is going to HW

This is just a way to fool desi brands to pay her more. Brands had paid PC-DP a bomb when both did their HW movie.

Even Hrithik and Aamir got HW agents. HR's PR made a huge deal of it too when it happened. It's later that they realize that there are no good lead roles available and it's not worth leaving their Indian work for.

If Priety Zinta can get an ABC show, a younger Alia can get something too but I don't think she will agree to do TV. Lead movie roles are not easy to come by and nobody has gotten them - not sexy tall ones either.

Not sure why her looks are derided all the time when the supposed hot ones are not getting anywhere either.
