I can't answer anything from this season if you are looking for logical answers because their is no consistency in either writing or in any character and to answer your questions it's very difficult with this set of writers in this show.

ANSWERS

1) No he was their for more than 5 months in the show, they never showed him properly is altogether different thing.

2) except for the two dances they never showed any love between prerish. They were just testing the chemistry of them and hence they put those two dances.

RB had to fall in love with her, though prerna never did anything which can make him fall in love but RB is very vulnerable character, he always used to think from brain not heart and used to think only fools think from heart. But he saw a woman who sacrificed her whole life for that person and married him just to see that person not getting any punishment. He saw the unconditional love that she has for her soulmate and though she never did anything significant for Kuki except making her to sleep but she accepted kuki which was not part of of the deal initially. He saw kuki is happy when she is with prerna.

They just used kuki the reason for marriage but as I said the writing was so inconsistent that after certain time, they forgot e evrything

3) he was in love with his wife and never wanted to leave her but suddenly they changed the whole track and made RB to do which was not his character at all and all that they showed last two weeks was to send RB out of the show. Or else RB would never leave her at all.

4) They know they didn't utilize the character as well as last three months, once every one shifted to bb. Neutral audience left the show and trps were going down with every passing week. So they are testing if this will work, minus RB for few months with Komo and the soulmates. They will decide what to do with him after watching how audience will react to this present track. They know they have to keep the RB option open, they can't close it fully or else we all will leave and hence they showed all that him warning ab ki he will come back blah blah blah.

It all depends now how audience will react to present track.

By the way I answered your questions seriously and genuinely though the show doesn't deserve this from me.
